I heard this tonight and it brought back so many memories(not a pun).
We all remember songs and songs trigger thoughts. Being an old fart i have seen some musicals. In the early 90,s i had the privilege of a brief interlude with a beautiful woman, who left to join the Royal Navy. She married , had kids, and eventually found herself and a same sex partner.
I still have the T-shirt and programme from my first musical "Cats", where we went and i got dressed up in collar and tie, booked a hotel in Glasgow and had a lovely pre-concert meal, and met up for a drink with friends before and after the musical.
I remember to this day settling down in the seat ready to fall asleep as this was "a boring musical and not for me". The moment i heard the orchestra strike up i was a convert and captivated till i go to my grave.
Brilliant:)
The same night was flipside:) We ended up in a pub then night club that were made famous by the movie "Train Spotting".
Thats another story and for another night.
Elaine Paige rocks:)
