I heard this tonight and it brought back so many memories(not a pun).

We all remember songs and songs trigger thoughts. Being an old fart i have seen some musicals. In the early 90,s i had the privilege of a brief interlude with a beautiful woman, who left to join the Royal Navy. She married , had kids, and eventually found herself and a same sex partner.

I still have the T-shirt and programme from my first musical "Cats", where we went and i got dressed up in collar and tie, booked a hotel in Glasgow and had a lovely pre-concert meal, and met up for a drink with friends before and after the musical.

I remember to this day settling down in the seat ready to fall asleep as this was "a boring musical and not for me". The moment i heard the orchestra strike up i was a convert and captivated till i go to my grave.

Brilliant:)

The same night was flipside:) We ended up in a pub then night club that were made famous by the movie "Train Spotting".

Thats another story and for another night.

Elaine Paige rocks:)

Train spotting now there is a movie I have not seen in a very long time. I think I saw it in 1996 while stationed at Camp LeJunne North Carolina, while in the Marine Corps. My roommate at the time had rented it along with Kids. I was disturbed by the movie Kids but I do not really remember Train Spotting, all I remember is watching it.

I was completely "blown away", Graham...thank you so much, my friend...
This "old fart" (you're not old enough, G) saw Cats "so many years" ago? with my first wife...and it took me right back there! I had forgotten...

What an incredibly beautiful voice...bless you, Lad
