well i finally tried flying FPV and paid the ultimate price... quad is lost somewhere in this swampy field. i got about 30 seconds of flight and 4 and half hours of searching for it.. im pretty sure the battery has come off as my goggles lost transmitter. i tried arming and giving it some throttle to hear the motors but nothing at all. lost my Sj4000 too...
i now have nothing to fly. so thats definitely the finish for me, theres noway i can afford another quad... i cant fly them anyway, so time to change my hobby...

Sorry to hear it, Tony
Please don't quit the hobby though!!! Just take some time off from it all, then come back to it later.

Bad luck mate, really wishing you good luck on your search.
I agree with Marius, maybe put everything away for a while and give yourself some time off.
Being so far away from most of you guys makes it hard, I'd love to be able to give one on one guidance.
Maybe one day if I win the lottery I'll plan a world trip.

FPV on an RC truck maybe?
I've tried, and it's fun.
And very hard to lose.

Ugh. Sorry, Tony.
Hope you find it on the second look. Search in a pattern. Grid search or maybe a spiral pattern out from center. Think back to your view and the direction you were coming from, maybe you'll get a sense of where to start the search pattern. Bring a friend or two to help out. At least rbing a good stick withyou to beat back the brush.
Good luck!
