KISS FC

I bought a KISS fc, with hopes of installing it in my 770 quad. I've been having troubles getting it flashed. I spoke with a buddy of mine and I took the fc to his house and he flashed it without troubles. I was thinking that all would be well but it's not. The fc will connect to the KISS gui on my PC but not on my laptop. When I plug in the USB and try to connect to my laptop, where the COM port number usually is, it says "KISS WIFI" and I can't connect. I am getting absolutely frustrated with this fc. It may be up for sale REAL SOON and I'll just shop around for a used Naze32 because I'm familiar with those.

When I try to connect the KISS to Betaflight, it says "Failed to open serial port"

any ideas?

If your running Windows 10 that is the issue. YouTube has videos on what you need to do to fix this if it is Windows 10.

Ive talked to a few other people and they say the same thing. Its windows10 thats the problem, which really sucks because i wanted to be able to tune my quad from my laptop.

That being the case, im gonna sell the KISS fc because if i cant use my laptop to tune the fc, i dont want the fc. Ive tried the video on youtube for the windows10 fix and it sidnt work.

Its time to move on. Now, im looking for an fc that will perform well on my 770 quad and be able to be tuned on ky laptop.

On youtube Derek it is about adjusting the section in Windows 10 that allows you to load the program with no issues:)

THanks for that, Graham! I did find another guy that demonstrated the same method. However, no matter how many times I try this, I am unable to get "DFU" to show up on the Betaflight gui. One of my local friends keeps telling me that it's easy to do and he starts yelling at me because I'm getting it wrong. This is why I've pretty much decided to sell the KISS fc and move on.

Not using betaflight on the kiss fc. Was trying to use the board in the betaflight gui. Not successful. Where the COM port is displayed, I should have been able to see DFU when the board was in DFU mode. Unsuccessful.

Just an update...despite the fact that I can't get the KISS fc to work on my laptop (windows10 machine), I have decided to keep the board and install it into my 770 quad. I'll just have to set up the fc on the KISS gui on my pc (windows7 machine). I've already got the fc and rx installed in the quad and I have the rx part of the "set up" finished. I'll get the esc's wired up and installed tomorrow.

I bought a 200mw ImmersionRC vtx to put into my ZMR250 so that I can take the 600mw vtx out and put it into the 770. That will likely get installed tomorrow, too.

Anyway...I appreciate the help that you guys always give me. Your help (although not always a solution) is very much appreciated.
