you need a hobbywing phase sensor mate.

You have to change the fitting on the sensor from a servo plug to a spektrum sat type plug. The two plugs are wired differently, there are diagrams in the sensor manual and the brain software.

Hobby wing phase sensor which you will need to change the plug on, and then it's installing and setting up, I know Dan has done this on the ikon as will Lee so one of them will answer this better,

The most common sensor is the one from Hobbywing

You'll also need a Spectrum Sat cable.

You will cut this in two, (one spare) This will be soldered to the servo wire from the sensor.
The other end of the sensor should be attached to any two of the motor wires.

For me, I didn't need the sensor, because I have a Castle Creations Edge ESC. This has a built in sensor.
So all I needed was the sat cable to link it to the Ikon.

Thats the hardware sorted. Then you just need to go into the software and set up your headspeeds.

Thanks Kev and Dan and Lee I have been keen to try this so Will get on and order the sensor. I think there is a tutorial
on YT so will have a go. Thanks again. Now ordered £3 99 plus postage now that can't be bad. Looking forwards to setting it up
although it flies great at the moment maybe I can push the flight time up a little.

I found that running a governed H/S made it easier to learn as you don't get the sag in H/S as your packs discharge, you have to make sure you keep a close eye on your timer so you don't over discharge your packs.
