P and I gain question.

I can use a little help with my P/I gain on my 500. I really don't have much information on this heli. This is what I have on the Yep 80a esc with Typhoon motor/Turnigy:
Timing=18 degrees
Brake= off
Cut off type=slow down/lipo
Cut off voltage= 3.0
cell=6
Special function= Didn't touch
Act freewheel/Gov mode= Freew. off/Gov. off
P gain=0.9
I gain=0.05
Start up speed=Heli middle
PWM Frequency= 16KHZ
Start up power=Auto
Someone mention my P&I gain should be @ Default. What is my default setting? The reason I'm asking is that my 500 flew well today but after my 5 mins. my esc was beeping and my battery was reading 36%. She didn't seem hot at all but why the beep? Could my setting be off some where? Any advice is well appreciated gentlemen.

Before you mess with it go fly it and see how the head speed holds under load and during unloading. If you hear the speed drop or pick up then you may need to increase your I gain.

That's what I did today and when I was coming out of a bank turn, the head speed slow down a bit and the same with load and unloading. If I have to increase my P&I, what should i go with? I used my P&I setting from my Gaui X3 and fly's great. No bogging down at all.

But u have listed above that the gov is off??? P & I won't matter unless u have the gov on, right?? May be wrong.. I really hate to speak on this one as I am a Castle guy & know nothing about a YEP. I would think u have that motor running hot tho with high timing & high PWM... On the Castle I'm anywhere from 0 to 5 on timing & PWM between 8-12 depending on what the motor likes.. Most of mine are at 12 I think.. Which as Matthias said, u gotta play with it a bit to see.

+1 on Clay's post. Is Gov on? If not, I wouldn't expect P and I to be involved at all. I'd bump PWM back to 12 or 8 to see how it responds. And maybe 12 or 15 for timing. The timing setting in particular can have a big impact on motor heat. PWM is more likely to cause heating in the ESC itself (which may be a reason it was beeping, nearly overheating?).

Hopefully someone with some YEP experience will jump in here.

I will do that pvolcko. I'll drop the timing and my PWM and give that a shot.

Didn't even notice the gov was off.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm not good enough to run gov. mode murankar :o . I just use straight throttle curves, 75 on stunt 1 and 85 on stunt 2. I have the same throttle curve for the 450 and X3.
