Bailout/ self level

Hey there everyone. I'm trying to learn about bailout/ self leveling and i have a couple questions. Is bailout and self leveling are the same thing but different? I've notice that the Ikon, Bavarian Demon and Skookum have these options but not all Gyro's have this. Can someone explain a little bit about these features. The AR7200BX does it have bailout/self leveling or not? Just some information i would like to know. Thank you in advance!

The farmer said, 'Didn't anyone complain ?'

Chuck said, 'Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars back.'

Chuck grew up and now works for the government. He was the one who figured out how to 'bail us out'

My understanding is that bailout can be set up to bring your heli down in an emergency with or without power safely.

Self level, is what it says on the tin:) you pre-set your heli when it is completely level, press a set button so the gyro knows " THATS Me I AM LEVEL "

The BX does not have this feature on the older versions, but i believe it will be on new versions:)

So, is rescue mode is the same as bail out?

No, rescue is just that. Like return to home on quads. It will bring the heli in to a safe orientation that is pre-set.

If you look at Helicommand for example it will explain it better. I will see if i can find a better explanation:)

Thank you Graham! I'm just curious. I've notice that you have four nice Gyros, Brain/Vortex/AR/MBHD. Out of all of them you which one you perform the best for you?

Ikon has self level. It will right the heli into a level attitude, aa long as you set up level correctly in the first place.
It will not change the pitch so you still have to control the heli.
Bavarian Demon has Bailout. What ever the heli is doing when bailout out is applied, it will either level the heli upright, or inverted, which ever is closer, then give pitch to climb away from the ground.
Ikon can be made to give pitch by some gigery pokery in the Radio mix settings.

I went to my search engine and brought me to BavarianDemon site. So i checked it out and very nice Gyros but ouch on the price compare to others

Not all the same, spirit FBL does a system the same as the demon but at half the cost,

I pm'ed Justin Pucci and he said the setup is rather simple with the wizards that are in the software. He is going to see if he can find videos of the setup.

Hey there KevG. I just went on the Sprit FBL system web site and like to know if you own one? I like to know your review o this FBL system. Half the price with self level/ Rescue mode, you can't beat it, i think.

People have been raving about it on Helifreak for a while now, from what I have heard it's the same proprietary firmware as the demon under licence, so should be the same to set up and perform the same as well, but at a lot less of a hit to the pocket,
