iKon Gov

Post by cml001 »

Hi guys, upon updating the firmware recently.. I've notice a change in spoil up on both my nitro & electric models. It used to soft start & ramp up (bailout) in a smooth steady increase to the desired headspeed. Now it get hung up so to speak. The spool up starts but doesn't reach the programmed headspeed until I add some load. This has kept me from using my bailout function in fear of not ramping up quickly and is a pain on urial spool up. Am I missing something? I know Paul mentioned a similar issue if not the same... Anyone have this issue.. Suggestions?

That's the issue I was talking about.

I haven't tried bailout on the new KSE yet. Was going to try a reset and re-setup on the trex 700 to see if that clears it up.

Got a tip on HF to use a flat 40% curve on idle up1(0-40-40 for normal mode guys I guess) instead of the flat 30%.. Gonna give it a try later today.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner Clay.
Yes, I had the same issue on the Warp.

Had to raise the throttle from 30% to 45% and it was back to normal.

I'm at the field now.. I tried 40 but it... Jumped almost like if I had increased the spool up setting itself.. Scary on a nitro! I've got it at 35 flat now & is doing better.. Not quit where it was tho... Have'n fun regardless!

Did you calibrate the throttle in the Ikon software?

It's on par, I did check it... 37 flat curve in the transmitter is the lucky number for my N5C.. I'll do the Align 550PRO DFC tomorrow maybe. The new update is definitely better on gov control... Took a bit to get her where I wanted.. Had started to tweek the auto bailout and almost had it square but my PC died on me.. Didn't have the generator with me as I was only fly'n nitro today.. But I think I've got it straight now. Thanks for the help guys!
