Not sure what's going on. It was working yesterday and today nothing. I metered the output from the kbar and there is Power. I get a small light flash when I plug it in. Here is a 1.5 minute video I hope I covered everything.

This might be an obvious question but did you bind the RX to TX with the sat plugged in, I've done that before with mine...

Three times, plus it was bound yesterday and o know they n lose binds that's why I tried 3 times. It appears to me to be power or signal issue.
What I have not done is clean off the shrink tube and touched my solder joints in the wires. That's next.

Change out the sat cable
they are known to brake right at the plugs also

I noticed in the vid you have the bluetooth connected, have you tried removing that and binding again.... Just some thoughts....

Yep. I think it's the cable also. I have not been able to meter it. I will try a continuity check tonight after work.
Come to think of it yesterday throttle hold turned on twice while flying. It's possible the signal wire could be broke.

Continuity check will prove that:)

Yes and no. I will know if there is some connection but not full connection.

Its strange that the sat is not lighting up which would point to a bind issue:)

Cameron had trouble binding his new DX7 to aHK Orange reciever. it may be that there is something in the new range of Spektrum TX,s not allowing you to bind to certain RX,s

It's all spectrum , no clones. I heard kbar has the issues of loosing bind.

Check the satalite off the kbar on a speky rx, I have had two sats just fail, so make sure the sat is working on a different rx,

I don't have another to try on. All I can do is try another cable.

Hey there murankar, My fly buddy had the same problem with his K-bar. He would come over with 10 batteries. He would use up 7 or 8 of them with no problems and all of the sudden he loose total control. This went on for a long time. He finally got tired of fixing his bird and got himself a Ikon. Last week was the first time with the Ikon and it was the first time I seen him smiled in a long time. No issue develop. He cant wait til this weekend to fly, weather permitted.

If you need a sat let me know I have 2 laying around that im not using at the moment
Is the sat you have a DSMX or dsm2 . should be a dsmx if you got it with the DX6
Out of the 3 mini K bars I had Only 1 has lost its Bind and that was after it set unused for a few months

Dsmx. I want to try the wire first.

Keep in mind, sometimes it will not bind or sync up if the Tx is too close to the Rx. I've had to move a few feet away to get things to connect before.

Did a continuity check and it was inconclusive. Everything checked out which is what I thought would happen. What's happening is that there is not a complete break in the wire. I am almost certain there is a break.
When I bind I make every effort to ensure that the radio is no closer than arms length apart. That's both arms stretched out. When conducting a bind yesterday the sat would flash on power up and that was it. When I did the initial bind back in March the sat would flash to indicate it was in bind mode. This is not happening so signal is not passing to the sat from the kbar but power is. This leads me to think that the signal line is a fault.
My next test is to make a jumper wire that I can use to connect each end to. If things work then it's the wire that needs fixed. I do have some spare wire that I cut out. That will be my jumper.
During all of this have my esc arm lock in place . This will prevent the motor from spooling up. You can't see it in the video because it's on the right side of the air frame. Since I am on an external bec I can unplug the esc from the kbar which can ensure no spool ups.

So did some more troubleshooting. First I cut out my old solder joints and redid the joints with Clean solder and wire, nothing but continuity passed. I then tried a jumper wire, I somehow managed to get bind mode but bind failed. Next is a new cable. If this fails then a new sat.
