AR7200/7300BX question

Post by DOG »

Hey all. I'm just finishing setting up my 500 with AR7300BX. Most people have a hard time getting 6 degree and the blue light on at the same time. This happen on letter "J" on the AR. My Tarot 450 DFC and my Gaui X3 both have AR7200BX and when It comes to letter "J" both heli had no problem getting 6 degrees and the blue light. Right around 6.2 degrees but on my 500, when It comes to letter "J", the blue light comes on around 3.8 degrees. Now my question is, with the blue light coming on early on the 500, is there anything wrong with that as long as I have 6 degrees and the blue light? or do I have to adjust the linkages to get closer? I Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

I'd try moving the the ball further out on the servo arms. This should result in more pitch change for the same servo degree movement.

Yeah, I'm way off. I don't want to put her in the air til I get this right. I'm always close like cml001 said with the other two birds. Some where around 6.2 degrees.

My linkage right now are parallel or straight up and down. If I bring my ball out  that will make my linkages not so straight up and down. Will that effect the heli if the linkages aren't parallel?

Maybe. But it appears to be your only option. The other would be to shorten the blade grip arm's bow so the ball is closer to the center hub, but that isn't really possible from the looks of the kit pictures.

Thanks guys for your help :) . I did some research and found out that as long as the blue light is on and you have 6 degree @ letter "J" and at low stick you have -12, half stick 0 and full stick +12 "Pitch of the 500 for the time being" that everything is AOK. So i gave my blessing to the heli and gave it a try. Sure enough the bird flew smooth 8-) . I did make a video of the flight but I didn't think that everyone wants to see how nice the trees/grass and the sky looked. I didn't have the camera pointed in the right direction . Today is a different story ;). I will have the camera pointed in the right direction this time. and hope to have another smooth flight. :)

Thanks for everyone advice. This time I made a video with a heli in it. Nothing fancy. This is my first big heli and I just want to get the "feel for it" a Indiana member mention to me ;) . and keep it intact. Just like the heli, I need practice with the camera also. https://youtu.be/GHBTfcgCrbs

After watching that video, I don't think you've got anything to worry about. The 500 looks smooth and solid! Nice job!!!

Thanks Derek. She flew very well :D . Tomorrow I'll burn up more batteries practicing. The picture quality stinks on the camera :x . I have 2 new action camera like the one you and your dad have. I cant open til Xmas because one of the camera is the wife. If I use mine then she will know that I got one for her. I probably shouldn't do no more videos til the new camera comes out  .
