MSH Brain-Ikon Rescue Sneak Peak

Hey guys,
The MSH engineering has been working a long time to bring out an all new Rescue feature written from the ground up. The new rescue uses some very advanced proprietary algorithms to take rescue to another level. There is no setup, no bench calibration. It just works.
The new Rescue will be a free firmware update along with a couple other awesome surprises. (-:
Some of the rescue features:
-Pulls you out of trouble, levels the helicopter and applies pitch to save the model at the flick of a switch or press of a button
-Advanced learning and dead reckoning algorithms. Constantly adapts to the model and flight conditions (i.e. works with models with extreme vibration)
-Plug and play setup. No tuning required.
-No bench calibration required
-Activated with a free channel or bank
-Optional pitch on rescue, pulls you out of trouble when you need it most
Coming to your brain soon.

That's pretty cool. If they actually deliver on the ease and reliability of setup they'll have a bigtime winner. Only thing missing would be inverted rescue, without need to flip it to upright first. That would make it useful for on-the-deck type of rescues, where the flip may either take too long or result in a blade ground strike. But as a training aid rescue this looks great.

I thought in the first video it was doing inverted rescues? For me who is a crap pilot, the quick height gain could be an issue as your heli gets smaller the further it goes away, i would possibly lose orientation.
But like you say Paul, this could be a game changer:)

Kool... To be honest... I only use the rescue/SL on my 550... The N5C & E7SE I do not... May start tho! Lol

But if its the right way up and holding attitude then it gives you time to get your orientation or at least bring it lower so you can see it. very nice feature, this might makr me crack the 550 out once the update goes live, it might help my wallet to come to terms with flying helis again.

That's just incredible!!! I'll be updating my Ikon on my 600 when this is available.
I'm curious....how is this "Rescue" activated and how is this different from the self level feature that my Ikon already has? Is it called "Rescue" because the helicopter will not only self right but it will also climb out a bit?
I have the self level setup on Flight Mode 3 (thanks to Paul for his help on this, lol). Flight Mode 3 would be my Aux2 switch in POS2. Will the "Rescue" take the place of the self level and also be programmed on the same switch?

Different function self-level vs rescue. It may be accessed through the same channel (flight mode/aux), but I'd expect it to be a separate checkbox or option from simple self-level.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when it's released. With many of us using the Ikon/Brain, I'm sure we'll all get it sorted out.

Ok I loaded the new 2.0 update on to my Oxy3
all files stayed the same . It now has some logging stuff live vibe checking and a few other things . Ill have to play with that later
So checked the set up and all was good to go . turned on the rescue and checked it on the bench and it works . It preset the rescue to be on the trainer button on my DX8.
Took the Oxy out side to give it a spin and to see if the rescue would work ( first time I have flown in months) . I did this with the Heli upright in a hover Hit the button and the heli would flatten out from any angle and shoot up . Its pretty neat will come in handy in a pinch . Now to do the other birds and hope to get out and fly this weekend .

Interesting. I'll have to load it onto a heli to test it out. Maybe my gob 500 when I get it rebuilt from the most recent crash. Need to get a list of parts together for an order this time.
