Yeah been really tempted, but just got a smoking deal on a vx1n and datapod for less than the new cost of a vx1e, could not pass it up tbh,

Have you got full set-up and tuning available with the datapod Kev? I like the idea of it, I hear some people have a datapod for each heli and attach them permanently.

Yes full functionality in a tiny little 11g box, and yes you can leave it connected perm I think it drains 15ma so next to nowt,

Guys it made the setup so easy, step by step through this little unit, although this has raised another question for me, do I replace the ikon with a Vx1n, mmh time will tell on how it flys and tunes,

I think all the amkers are starting to get a grip with gyros and they are becoming a much of a muchness:)

Gyros seem to be getting closer to one another with some minor differences. There are a few names I am shocked we dont hear about anymore like the skookum 540, I think it was closer to being an ikon. If cash was available I am not sure what I would consider at this point, maybe a v3 beastx just because its simple. Lets see what 2015 brings to the table for our hobby.

If the only reason I would not go for a beastx again, and yes I still have mine, for future use, is the constraints with having to have the blue lights for certain steps, lots of helis you can't get it, yes it still works well but you never know whether your gonna get the best from it, and tbh when a company believes it's biggest update to a plus unit is putting it in a plastic case mmmhhh?
Beastx has been left in the dark by other units progressing far quicker, save your money buy a Kbar 200% better and less than a quarter of the price.
