My understanding is its a knock off Bavarian Demon. Supposedly it is even licensed which is why the BD has come down in price. From what I have read they are difficult to obtain and support isn't fully their but people who have them tend to like them. YMMV Price is in the $250 range I believe.

They have a STRONG fan boy following on another heli forum because of the price.

Shoot, for that price i will keep my faithful AR7200BX. At least i know the AR is rock solid and easy to programs for non computer person like my self.

Compared to a bd3sx which was $500, $250 is kind of cheap.
They supposedly have a similar rescue feature as the 3sx. Now that the bd3sx has dropped in price the real thing is more cost competitive. If you haven't had a real rescue FBL controller I can understand how the costs seem high. It only takes 1 rescue for these things to pay for themselves though. I have 5 BD3sx FBL controllers. They work absolutely fantastic and rescue every single time.
