Zeroing out

Post by DOG »

Hey everyone. I have my servo arms at 90 degrees on my heli. TX is center. My lower linkage that connects the servo arm to the swashplate and the linkage that connects the blade grips to the swashplate, are to spec. When I put my digital pitch gauge on the blades, it reads +3.2 The platform that I set my heli on is level. My question is do I shrink my servo linkage or my blade grip linkage? or do I split the difference? In order to get closer to zero. Hope this makes sense. I appreciate the help gentlemen.

Your curve is at 46 to 100 and you get 12.6º pitch top and bottom?
Do you mean 0 to a 100 12.6º pitch + and - ?

DOG...when setting your blade pitch, your pitch curve should be linear, 0, 25, 50, 75, 100. Adjust your pitch curve and work your linkages from there.

Hey Derek. I do have Linear curve. I just to much +pitch result before I zero out.. I need to bring it back to Zero. I lower the linkage on the blade grip to bring closer to Zero. Now only if the wind come down so I can try it out.

No it wasn't all the linkage fault G.L. but it did help some. Dumb-dumb me forgot to zero out the digital pitch gauge before setting my pitch on the blade. That made a difference.

I know I am late on here;but..... Anyways when I do my setup I always make sure my main shaft is level. Once done then I complete my setup.

By doing this then you can use the motor or boom as your relative zero for zeroing your level.
