Must have tool

Hey everyone. Mr Derek awhile back mention to me that I should in vest in two tools that is a must to have :o . Well, I finally did and I can kick my self in the butt for not listen to him sooner :(. Theses came in the other day

Caliper is a must for a lot of things. Temp gun... if you're into nitro or gas engines for your models yes, otherwise, not critical. Just my opinion.

I do have a Savage 4.6 nitro 4x4 truck. Temp gun will work on it plus it was on sale. :)

Well done, DOG! Yes, the calipers are probably going to be your best friend when setting up a helicopter. I'm happy to see that you have them now. The IR Thermometer, as Paul stated are a must have for nitros, but I like to use my IR Thermometer to check, and then document, the temps of my motors and esc's after each flight....especially on hotter days. Doing this routine isn't a "mandatory" task but it's just something that I do to monitor the conditions of my electronics.

Here is the IR Thermometer that I use:

It's quite small. Fits in my pocket or I can connect it to my landyard.

Callipers are great. I use them every day at work.
