I have this motor for my 500 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... lass_.html On the diagram, Letter A is shaft dia. and it shows 5mm. I'm confuse in what size pinion to get. I'm guessing 3.17mm :?

you need a pinion for a 5mm shaft
3.17 mm is for like a 450 class motor

How many teeth are you looking for on that pinion, DOG? I have a genuine Align 13tooth pinion that I'm not going to use. I'll double check the diameter of the hole. If it's a 5mm hole...I'll just send it to you. Actually, I need to double check to see if the pinion that I have is helical or straight. I'll check it and let you know. Maybe you can use it.

HeliDirect has a few in the motor section
would be easier if I knew what tooth count and if it strait or slant cut

Hey there Derek and superbad. I looking for slanted 12 & 13th count. Thank you for the offer Derek. Let me know if you do have one. I'm switching both 450 & 500 main gear to slanted. I do have the 450 ones. 500 hard to fine. One here and one there.

sorry bro...I probably should have actually looked at my pinion before I opened my mouth. The two spare pinions that I have are both straight toothed.
