Action cam attempt number 2

I just pulled the trigger on the runcam hd 2. I was going to order it from the main company but after seeing a 3 week lead time I said nope. I saw on face book that flitetest.com started carrying them in their store. So I ordered it and paid for priority even though I could drive there and buy it. Short story shorter, I finally got a decent action can.

That's cool, Matthias! I'm needing a new action camera. I've had, and destroyed, 2 Mobius cams. Now I have a $30 720p action camera, from HobbyPartz, that is Gopro style. It's very bulky on the nose of my quad. I just really like the smaller cams but I haven't decided if I want a new Mobius or maybe get a Runcam.

Choices choices....

Well if younger them from flitetest then younger them right away. If you order from the manufacturer then it's a 3 week wait at least. I don't want to keep sinking money into a camera. This should have a GoPro style mount so I can mount it to a hat, plus Wi-Fi for Shit composure.

My runcam cam in today, woot woot. It is charging at the moment so I will shower and get ready for the day while it does that. I think I may have hit the jackpot with this camera, only time will tell. As of right now I think my hat that I choose will work great as the camera hat. Not much modifying to get it to work. Just a small bit of dremmal work and that's it. If the bill has the right angle then all I need to do is velcro strap it on the bill. Second plus is all the hardware from that crappy camera works on this one. So I have all the gopro mounts that I need to get this working for my needs. One mount that wont work is the camera specific housing clip and the belt buckle attachment.

Okay so the hat is not all that stylish. Its a hat we use at work called a bump cap. Basically its like a hard hat but not as beefy as a hard hat. Just enough so you dont bump your head. This hat has a stiff visor that can hold the extra weight. If I had too I could just mount it to the top through the plastic insert.

Yes it is bigger than I thought too. But for what I am using it for its going to be just fine. Now for video testing to see how clear it will be. I also will have to work on some lighting issues here at the house.
