I probably could have included this question within one of my own threads, but I thought I'd post this here just in case someone else comes along with the same question.....they could find the answer in the "Camera" section.

So...here's my question...

what size memory cards are you guys using in your Mobius cams?

I have a 64GB in mine and I have it set up to start recording when I plug the quad battery in.
Otherwise I keep forgetting to hit record.
When I unplug it, it saves and shuts down.
I power it from a spare channel on the Naze32.

is there a particular name brand that you use? I read in the manual that not all micro SD cards will work with the Mobius.

I'm using a 32gb class 10 samsung card. Seems to work a treat (until youtube gets hold of it)

I've been same as Dan, 32gb class 10, I wouldn't get any slower classes as recording in HD won't work so well, been there and done that...

I tend to record the days flights, then load them onto the computer as soon as i get home.
So only need an 8gb card and never have come close to filling it up.

I lost a 8GB card in a crash, so now I run some insulation tape over the slot as a precaution.
The 64GB was a special my local appliance store contact did for me.
They had run out of 16GB and 32GB cards so He did me a super good deal on the 64GB.
Running my mobius off the quad power supply means I will never run out of battery or card space again.

Good idea with the tape over the card Stabo... Where's my tape now....

is there a particular brand that is known to work or should I just be looking for a class 10 SD card?

ive only used sandisk ultra and extreme, both work very well..

I just went with a branded name and got a cracking deal off fleabay 2 32gb class 10 samsung cards for £12/$18.

We have all been down the clone route does it pay?, i think not.

I just picked up a brand new SanDisk 8gb class 10 card....so, I should be good to go now.

Now, I just gotta learn how to use this silly Mobius, lol

Point and press:)LOL switch on, button nearest tail, press middle button once, light changes blue, press button nearest camera lens, recording begins:) Simples:)

Why use 2nd mode? That is default 720p.
Power on default is 1080p. (Yellow LED)
Easiest thing is get the mobius PC software and set it to record on power up and save on power off.
Then all you have to do is push the power button and you are good to go then push it again when you land.
I will snapshot my settings later and show you what I have done.

I do have the software and I've browsed through it a bit. I think I saw those settings that you were talking about. I'll mess with it and see if I can get it set that way but I'd surely appreciate a screen shot, Stambo. That would be great!
