Derek is working on a new Ground Station

After years of faithful service, I think my ImmersionRC UNO vrx is fading. I've decided it's time to upgrade. After reading some reviews and talking with a few people, I bought the Furious True-D Diversity Module and the Furious Dock King. In combination, these two will allow me to have a diversity vrx ground station that I can mount nearly anywhere. It has a magnet on the bottom of the Dock King so that it can be attached to anything magnetic and it also has a bolt hole on the bottom that will allow it to be mounted to a simple tripod. Both methods made the Dock King totally mobile.
More to come as I learn how to use it, lol.

Interested to see how you build this Derek:)
I have a guy on Facebook(Which i am not on anymore), that builds ground stations and antennas with record breaking distance achievable.
I can put a link on, might give you some ideas.
I bought a flat antenna for my Phantom from him which can be capable of sending the Phantom 11 miles (17K) without signal loss.

That's going to be awesome Derek once you get it done. 11 miles on a flat antenna huh Graham. I know Derek will be very interested in that linked. He's trying to fly to my house so I don't always have to use the postal service to mail stuff back and fourth to each other Lol. Can't wait to see this setup

Ive spoken to a few guys that are using the Dock King with the diversity module and getting several kilometers depending on the vrx antennas, of course, but they got me interested.
If you have a link, Graham, for the guy that you were talking about, id be happy to take a look

I have the Furious True-D sitting on my goggle and it is every bit as good as the old Immersion Duo on my ground station, just far more portable which is the main reason I got it.
Be interesting to see the results you get with that Dock King.

I have gotten years of FPV from my ImmersionRC Uno vrx, until recently. It does power up and I do see the video signal but it would be insanely unflyable. There is so much snow and static combined. I really wanted the ImmersionRC Duo but the wifey said it costs too much.....I'm still trying to work around that hurdle. So, both the True D Module and Dock King have been suggested to me with real high praise, so I ordered them both. I've been through the firmware flashing of the Module so that it works with the Dock King. I went through the firmware setup, via Bluetooth, on the Dock King. Both are quite easy to do. I plugged a battery into the Dock King and flipped the power switch and it comes to life. I connected the supplied video cable to the Dock King and my goggles and had instant video....very clean and clear video. Awesome! I was hesitant if this new tech would work with my Fatshark Dominator v1 goggles but there doesn't seem to be an issue. I cant wait to test this out on my tripod.

The antennas used in the above picture are all that I have. I used a VAS Minion RHCP antenna on my quad and then the two Fatshark Spiro Net antennas on the Dock King. I plan on getting a VAS Pepperbox and maybe a Pagoda for the Dock King. The VAS Minion has to go back on my S800 wing, lol.

Would you guys like to see some details about my Dock King ground station? I tested it in my garage and its working. I was even happy to see that I got signal on my 19" flat screen tv.
