Busbar for HV Power Distribution

Post by Derek »

Hey guys! I've been watching some X-Class multirotor videos lately and several of them have mentioned that they use a busbar for power distribution instead of a PDB. I'd imagine that this is mostly so because there aren't many PDB's that can handle 10S and higher. However, none of them actually show the busbar setups that they use. Would you guys have any idea on what materials would be used for a 12S, 100amp, multirotor setup?

It may be more to do with current handling capability vs voltage. That said, I'd expect a power distribution board that has nothing on it but high power circuits and connection points for battery inputs and esc feeder power output would do the trick. Are PDBs for this class of quad not labeled/rated for certain cell counts and current draws?
