Broken antenna

Post by DOG »

Hey there. I just notice that the cheesy antenna that is on the QX90c fell off  Can I solder any wire on or does it need to be some sort of antenna wire? :?

Can you resolder the antenna wire back on? Or is it gone?

The length and resistance of the wire is important when it comes to antennas. They are usually solid conductor wire, not standed.

You may want to write the manufacturer or where you bought it to see if they have any replacement or specs on what wire and cut length is needed.

Hey Paul. No I lost the antenna. I took an antenna off a old RX and soldered that on. Works fine on bench test. I'll give that a try when the wind dies down. Just in case, I did fine a spare antenna off a QX90c I can put on if the other one doesn't work well. Thanks Paul. I though it would make a difference.
