Naze32 Bootloader Failed

Stambo has been talking about Betaflight, on the Naze32, and he's been talking highly about it. I've also heard others talk highly about it. I figured I'd do some searching and try to install it myself. I was able to get the .hex file downloaded but when I try to flash the firmware, it tells me this:
- Bad Bootloader.png (38.23 KiB) Viewed 5776 times
So, something is wrong with the bootloader. What do I need to do to sort this out?

I had this with a Rev5 board Derek and was unable to get Betaflight on it. I tried going back a few versions and trying it that way and it did not work.
Have you seen the video on how to instal Beta?

Yes, I did see a few videos on how to install betaflight. it looked simple enough. However, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't recall that any of them specified if the Naze32 was the rev 5 or the rev 6. Hmmm, perhaps betaflight isn't something for the rev 5. If that's true, then I'll just put the acquisition of betaflight on the back burner until I can order a rev 6.

I dunno....I think I'll just leave well enough alone and just fly with Cleanflight. I'm no pro flyer...I just wanna have some fun. I still need to sort out a yawing issue on punchouts.
Thanks for your efforts and time, Graham!

I did an adjustment on the trim for yaw at punchout and that helped, think it was two clicks:)

Ive had this issue with a couple of boards, the way I've got it on is to flash on connect (bootloader)
Jumper bootloader pins on your board ( not connected to the pc). You may need to solder these on.
Open cleanflight config and select flash screen.
Load cleanflight flavor of choice, select flash on connect and full erase.
Connect the board to the pc it should now start to flash
After the board has been flashed disconnect it then remove the jumper.
The board can now be reconnected to the pc to verify the flash was successful
Hope this helps you out Derek.

Can you guys clarify where the "jumper bootloader pins" are for me?
Processes like this always sound sketchy to me.
EDIT
I just found this link. It shows the "boot" pads....I can't say that I've ever noticed them before.

There the ones Derek. Some boards have hopes for pins to be solder on.
As long as the pins are shorted when the board is plugged into the computer (following above instructions) it should work

I just found this video that seems to describe, visually, what you guys are talking about. That looks easy enough.

After watching this short video, I would just like to clarify something. I haven't bricked my Naze32. I know that I haven't because I can still click on Connect and Cleanflight loads up and I can make any and all changes in Cleanflight. The trouble that I'm having is that I get that failed connection when I try to flash the Betaflight.hex.
I was just hoping that you guys didn't think that my Cleanflight wasn't working at all.

No not at all mate sometimes the boards can be a bit funny. I've had this issue with a flip32 but another flip from the same supplier flashed first time.

OK cool!
So, I should follow this procedure and hopefully it will fix the bootloader issues, right?
