SunnySky or T Motor

I've read the reviews and seen some videos of both the SunnySky 2300kv motors and the T Motor 2300 motors. Both are similar in size. Both are 2-3S. Both pull about the same amps, less than 10. Both are about $25 each. To my uneducated eyes and uneducated experience with multi rotors, these really seem to be a "toss up". Does anyone have any tips towards motors that may help me decide?

I'm having the same dilemma Derek, just to throw another spanner in the works, have you had a look at cobra motors.
I'm closely watching some 4, 5 and 6s mini quad testing going on at the moment and these are the 3 brands of motor that are holding up best under extreme usage. One of the testers is saying tiger all the way just because the build quality is better, he has used 2204's, 2206's and 2208's.
I am personally looking at 4s systems

Great! Another brand to look at!!! That's all I need, lmao.
lol, no, i haven't looked at Cobra motors but since you've mentioned it, I'll have a look at price and specs. I'm looking for a setup that I can run on 3S but also be very much 4S capable. If you find any "good word" on any of those motors, please be sure to share. I should be ready to order the motors and esc's for my quad late next month.

I will do. The most success running 4s+ is with the t-motor's. Here's a video from one of the guys testing. This is a 5s setup. Have a look through his channel Derek he has used lots of different motor prop and battery combinations. Mainly with t-motors.

He personally thinks that 6s is too much, very hard to get the gains right.
He has done a video with some kiss esc/ccleanflight tuning tips too.

I've seen that there are Tmotor 1804 2400kv motors and 1806 2300kv motors. Whats the difference between the two?

Lol Derek this is exactly why I went for a kit, take the uncertainty and decision making away from me, it was so much easier,
My mate had his on the sunny sky's last week and they were nice, punchy and on full chat were pulling 18a or average of 4.5a per motor,

The difference is the height of the motor and stator the 1806 should have more torque than 1804

Can't say a preference between the two brands or specific models you have listed. I went with four sunsky's for my QAV500.

Well, first off...it's good to see you around again, Paul. It's been a while since I've seen you post something.
As for the motors, I went with a set of sunny sky motors. They got good reviews and didn't cost much. Hopefully I can get some soldering done this week.

Yeah. Sorry about that. It got busy for me for the last month. I haven't been on this forum, or any forum, much at all. Hopefully with the weather starting to break into spring I won't be putting to much time in outside keeping the driveway clear.
Have a new plane and heli to build before spring weather hits and also have the gob 500 to repair. I still have the QAV500 on the bench too (over a year now I think), but that is another story.
Hope to be putting in some more time around here and get a build thread or two going.
