Flight Time

Post by cml001 »

What's up fellas! Thought I'd drop a line... Been fly'n as much as possible the past week.. Even today in 35 degree weather. Wasn't that bad except for the wind... Had to jump in the truck after each flight to thaw out the fingers. But I had a ton of fun... Still try'n to get consistent piro flips.. They move more than I like and still cannot get more than on at a time.. Practice practice practice... But my half piros are good now... Backward flight has become pretty much second nature now.. Smooth and slow & fast.. Backward knife edge bank turns & such.. Fun fun.. Sustained inverted flight is coming along nice too.. Tail box forward is the preferred more natural travel with inverted circuits.. But I'm working on nose forward.. Makes transitions interesting.. 550 is goin strong but honestly the 450 has been a bit more exciting lately. I think it's because I'm willing to try more and fly harder with it being it's the cheapest to fix.... Anyhow.. Lots of fun.. Hope u guys have been fly'n & having as much fun as I.

Sounds great, Clay! I'm the same way. I try new stuff on the 300X/CFX and then graduate it up to the bigger helis. Usually.

I sure am glad to hear that someone is getting some flight time, lol. The temps are so cold here with 20-30mph winds. That's just impossible for me to fly anything. Piro flips, you say! WOW!!! I understand the concept of the Piro Flip...I just can't get that concept translated to my fingers, lol. Still work on it on the sim...with very little success but still working on it.

Good luck with your flying!!!

I want'm clean.. I can't get the nose down on the final stretch of the piro... I always have to stop the rudder and hold up on the elev stick(nose down) to get it to level flight... This is keeping me from going for the second piro.. I'm work'n on it.. U actuall inspired me awhile back with the videos u posted of the warp doing them. Thanks bud!
