ive had a play with the roll gains following the lumenier guide lee posted in the multirotor section, And left the pitch and yaw the same as Lee's.

Heres the result, ive hard mounted the camera too show up any wobbles and bobbles.

gain for the roll P 230 (needs dropping a bit) I 530 D 32. going to try 225 220 215 on the P's next.

it was gusty as well lee 5-8mph

ive made a few changes to the quad today, ive been using ppm as the receiver protocol but as h had to remove one of the cables i was unable to use the pot in my tx to change the gains on the fly. so ive spent most of this afternoon making an sbus cable and getting the pot on my tx to work correctly with the cc3d.

Ive also had another read of the lumenier cc3d instructions as well as watch a couple of vids on youtube an it looks like i misunderstood the wiki instructions, so tomorrow im going to start to try to set the gains up again this time, being able to use the pot on my tx should speed the process up no end.

Nice flight but man you seem to love shaving them goal posts.
At 1:38 I was sure that was gonna be a hit.
Something I learned while playing race car games many years ago is "watch the gap not the other car".
You seem to go where you look so I have used that in my flying too.
Not always successfully I might add.

ive tried another tuning method that i found on the OP website heres a link to the thread http://forums.openpilot.org/topic/39941 ... ds-optune/ this is the calculator to use for 14.10 http://op.thatwebplace.com.au/optune_failsafe.php

i tested the values that i got from the calculator on saturday it was fine with no wind, but this flight there was around a 10-15mph wind and the roll axis didnt like it too much.

Due to having another couple of failures on my quad on saturday i have decided to decommission this quad until the fault can be corrected, this isn't the end of my quad/fpv flying as i'm ordering a replacement on friday.

I'm not ordering any type of clone this time, as now i have tryed mini quad fpv and am completely hooked i thought i might as well splash out on something a bit special, i know what your all thinking, Blackout super H, Lumenier QAV250, Flip 250.

None of the above. more info in a week or so.

there where the initial issues of it throttling up on its own and I had all the motors cut out on me twice on saturday, just stopped mid air. its not a reception issue as ive range tested @ about 200m and my failsafe has been live tested as well both tests were passed.

I has knocked my confidence in this machine, i don't feel that it is safe to fly this machine until the issues have been resolved. so for now its grounded.

I've had my orders off my GF after I told her if fell out of the sky. No more Chinese clones!
the frame I'm ordering comes as an ARF. motors, esc naze32 and a battery. So its a complete fresh build.
it's more expensive than the kit you posted kev but it's the design that caught my eye.

Shhh don't say any more you will give it away Dan.

No acro Graham. I'm going to try cleanflight I've had a look through it. (i flashed it to my cc3d to have a look at the settings) but couldn't get the sbus to work. So never got to fly it.
It pretty much the same as we all have. For now.
