My first FPV flight not very good as i have ended up recalibrating the ESC's due tone motor not giving as much thrust.

Good start Dan.
A suggestion though, stay a bit higher until you start getting the hang of it a bit more.
Don't worry too much about getting through the goal posts, maybe up and down the field with a bit more height.
Even a meter is plenty, keep it slow but steady, don't be in too much of a hurry, the speed will come as you get better.
Those crashes (I hesitate to call them crashes) may even have been due to your unbalanced quad.

Once you get a few more packs under your belt you should think of switching to acro as soon as possible.
I flew auto level for too long but once I switched to acro I wondered why I took so long.
Flight is so much smoother, wind has a lot less effect and on board recorded video is smoother.

I use Zippy compact 3s 1800, I think they are 35c.
They give me a good compromise between agility and flight duration.
I can get up to 9 minutes of gentle flight (not that that happens any more) or more like 7 minutes throwing it around a bit.

I will be looking at other packs than the zippy compacts next time.
Out of the four packs I bought, one is already loosing power.
I'm getting a low voltage warning at about 5mins 20. I was getting 6mins when new no problem.

My flying buddy bought the 1500s and is disappointed, 3 failed on 1 cell.
I figure if we get game enough we can build 2 good batteries out of the 3 packs.
He has now got the same 1800s as I have and they are excellent.

Thanks guys. I will look into some 1800 30-35cc packs at the end of the month.

After one of my slight altercations with the ground yesterday I found that I had lost one of the rubber jello balls for the camera mount so in true hangout fashion I made some improvised jello mounts.

They are that memory foam stuff so I just rolled them thin passed them through the holes, let them expand and trimmed. We will see how they fair today I'm hoping they do the job as I have a virtually unlimited supply of them

I also added this Dan.
A zip tie around the back to link the plate to the frame.
It is just loose, so as not to affect vibrations, but will hold the plate with the frame if the bobbins fail or fall out.
