What did you hit? I didn't see anything there.

You were doing real well, Tony! That's a bummer crash. Anything broken?

Was looking pretty good until the OOPs. :)
Don't worry too much Tony.
Once you get a few FPV flights under your belt you will probably not want to fly it LOS again.

Thanks Guys, I'm sure one day I'll learn by my mistakes Kev... :)

Derek. There's a barbed wire fence that runs along the top of those garages, keeps the spooks out from the graveyard... Lol... That's what I hit... Just 2 props broke... It's fixed and flying again..

Stambo. I need to pluck up the courage to fly fpv, one day I will I'm sure... Lol

Haha, yes Graham, funny or what... :D

Looked very nice until the end Tony.
Don't forget to disarm the quad when you crash. YAW LEFT!!!!
Otherwise you could burn up and ESC.
Maybe go to a nice flat grassy field/football pitch. Less things to hit :D

Tony, many batteries through the x4 have helped me loads this winter, well since xmas, get used to putting it up in front of you nose in then move it back and forth and side to side, it's not so much about flying the x4 it's about training your mind to compensate in the right direction and believe me it's been great for me, I put a prop guard on mine so when I hit myself it don't hurt, still need lots of practice turning towards me though, but I'm getting there slowly,

Yeah I forgot to disarm it..

Went on the field this morn, took 5 packs with me with the intention of learning orientation. Especially nose in. But it was freezing cold, after the first pack I couldn't feel my hands.. Bloody weather man... I'll go back out later on.. Video is quite boring really so I never uploaded to YT.

Thanks Lee

I'll have to dig my x4 out and practice in the house then Kev, although I do hate the thing...lol... Lots and lots of practice needed, but this weather is crap... It was really foggy this morning too which didn't help things... Damp and freezing.. Still some snow lying around up the field...

Thanks Kev

Just keep your chin and spirits up, Tony! No one gets anywhere without a bit of practice but you also have to have the confidence in yourself that "you can do it". We've all seen you fly your helicopter...my basic understanding is that these quads aren't much different. It's just the size that's different. Take your time and practice at your own pace. You'll do fine!!!

Thanks Derek, going back on the field later to try again... It's so cold here though and very foggy so might only get one pack again, but it's better than nothing... Practice, practice... :D

Do you use Phoenix sim?
Here's a thought, point your FPV cam at the computer.
Put the sim on one of those panoramic flying sites then put it in cockpit view.
Put the goggles on and fly FPV. :)
