They are bloody lethal, that was also the HS too fast and lost one of the links, I had been on forum to get advice too, dropped the throttle curve quite a bit but it still went haywire... Now it's still in the pond.... Lol

Last I heard from him, after the helicopter smacked the wall, he damaged a main gear. He did order replacements and a swash leveler. He was waiting for them to be delivered.

Dustin....I'm not sure what else I can do to help you out here. You send me your helicopter and I thought it only needed to be "mechanically setup". Turns out that all the linkages were bent, the blades were chipped, you had radial bearings in the place of thrust bearings, the tail rotor case was broke, the flybar was bent, the autorotation gear was missing teeth, and there were other issues as well. I spent a bit more than $100, of my money, to repair it and I shipped it back to you. You knew that you would need to rebind the helicopter to your DX6i and you knew that the settings in your DX6i would need to be adjusted so that everything was working properly. Then you try to fly it and your broke some pieces again. I understand that you want to fly the helicopter but the helicopter needed to be setup properly.

Then I get these text messages from you saying, "Maybe I should give up on flying. I'm not having any luck."

I reply, "Sure you could give up but it probably won't do you any good. You haven't had good luck yet because you were trying to fly your helicopter without a proper setup. So...set it up properly and then fly."

You reply, "OK"

I reply, "Any and every aspect of rc flying comes down to "practice, practice, practice". We all crash. We all break parts. Ya just gotta step back, take a deep breath, and start over."

You reply, "Yea well I never flew it cause it kept messing up."

This is here is the "long and short of it", Dustin....that helicopter kept messing up because it wasn't setup properly yet. Yes, I repaired the damages but the adjustments in the tx needed to be made. The swash needed to be leveled. The gyro needed to be in HH mode. etc, etc. No one on this forum, nor any other forum in the world, is gonna be able to help you unless you are willing to help yourself. I see, in your previous post, you said that you have the leveler for the swash but it's getting bench tested 100%. Ok...that's a start. You need to make sure that the swash plate is level at low, mid, and high stick before you even try to spin the blades again. Unplug the 3 motor wires and leave them unplugged until you are sure that the swash is level, the mixing arms are level, and the pitch is set to +/- 10 degrees. If these items aren't setup properly and you try to fly that helicopter again, I can assure you that your results are not going to be positive.

Dustin, you have an abundant amount of help at your disposal, not just on the forum, but theres heaps of YT videos to help you out too.

what you need to do is find a really good video to follow on YT, and make sure you do all the mechanical checks/setups properly, DO NOT take short cuts... if you need further help then come on the forum, theres always someone on to help you. Derek has helped you loads and spent a small fortune on your heli. theres only so much one can do though. you need to LISTEN to what people are telling you...

if the swash needs leveling then the chances are the servos may need set to 90 degrees too, which is where you should be starting from. sounds like you need to start from scratch anyway. before you start... SAFETY FIRST. remove 2 of the 3 wires off your motor...

make sure your transmitter is setup properly. the blade 450 3D manual is a good starting point.

find a good YT video that you can watch and pause at will to guide you through the setup process....

one last thing..... DO NOT GIVE UP.... you can do it.. :D :D

That's good, keep up the tests until your 100% sure it's mechanically correct..

Are you still having tail issues? Can you make a lazy susan platform, well worth the effort mind and not hard to make...

I got my lazy susan off eBay, made of wood, then added the wooden clamp to hold heli down... Didn't take much doing really Dustin, but I tell you it was well worth the effort. I got the idea off Derek..

I have shown Dustin my gyro test stand with the Lazy Susan. I have shown Dustin where to get a Lazy Susan. It really is a fantastic idea and a useful tool. Just be sure to keep the bearings well lubricated and the stand will do it's job very well.
