Ok...so I need to fly the quad in "Acro"...you are referring to "Manual Mode", right? The way I have it set up...I have the flight modes on my FLAPS switch on my DX8. I have no troubles reaching that switch at all. Position 0 is Angle, Position 1 is Horizon, and Position 2 is Manual. These can be changed later on. I just want to get use to this thing first and the self level was really neat to see and I think it was good for my first experience with quads. I am more than willing to try the Manual Mode. Unfortunately, it will probably have to wait until next week because I am working the next 3 nights and there is a LOT of rain in our forecast....but at least I did get to fly a bit yesterday.

So....drop the level P to 6.00. I can do that.

manual mode is the way forward derek, but have plenty of spare props.

Manual/acro/rate mode is just like a FBL heli mate you shouldnt have any problems with it LOS. If you tune LOS in rate and stabilized you should be in really good shape for FPV.

I tune mine in rate mode LOS and then its fine tuned from flight footage.

Sounds good! Now that I know it does fly, I'll work on it in Manual Mode. I have 38 spare props (trying to think ahead, lol).

When I get down to 20 I order another 60.
But then it takes 3 weeks to get them here and I don't want to be stuck not flying due to no props.

I adjusted the PID's a bit. Just doing some testing and getting a bit more aggressive with the Dart 250.

She's quick! 1300mah? What's ur flight times?

During this testing flight, I had one of my 1550mah packs on it. As for the flight times, I'm not sure yet. Yes....she is very quick and I was loving it.

Thanks for all your help, Stambo! Yes, I think it's quite stable enough for some FPV and, yes, I am quite excited to run some FPV.

This flight started out in self level mode, just so I could show my Dad. The circuits that I was flying and the bouncing around was all in manual mode. This quad flies a lot like my 500. It's not as twitchy as my 450.

Excellent job Derek with your quad and videos. With your knowledge, you should be taking wonderful FPV in no time. So between your planes, helis and now your quad, what entertains you the most? Keep the videos coming!

Thanks DOG! I'm really have a lot of fun with the new quad. FPV with this sucker is gonna be awesome fun!! As for my planes, heli's, and now my quad...which entertains me the most???? I have a great time with them all but I love the helicopters. I love the sound that comes from the blades.

Me too, I just hate the sound (and the cost) when they hit the deck, as they inevitably do.

If I had crashed my heli's as much as I crash my miniquad I would have been out of this hobby long ago.

Thanks Tony! I'm loving this lil quad. It flies a lot like my Trex 500. I think it still needs a bit of adjustment because there is some oscillation from time to time but I'm getting closer. FPV will not be much longer, lol. I'm really looking forward to that.

You will be amazed how much wind these little things can take derek, ive flown mine (not very well tuned at the time) in 25mph winds all i noticed was i needed more throttle up wind and it was a rocket ship downwind, lol

Sounds good, Dan! I imagine that these lil quads can handle some decent wind. There is some solid weight in a small package. The only thing that's keeping me from flying right now is my work schedule. I am working the next 4 nights, 12 hour shifts. I'm not thrilled about it, lol. I've been doing a bit of testing with the Mobius and I think I understand how it all works. I'm very much looking forward to flying my little quad some more and I'm almost certain that some FPV flights will be next week.

I've flown my quad in some pretty strong winds, it's flipping awesome.... Only the rain stops me and I'm thinking of putting a roof on it.. Haha
