Well done Derek, definitely time for a bigger paddock though.
I cringed a couple of times when I saw you going backwards.
You never know what or who is behind you. :)
Keep going forwards, towards what you can see. :D
You need lots of nice open space when learning.

You probably should have been out mowing your lawn. :P

Yes, I probably should have kept moving forward. I was trying. The next FPV videos will be at my usual flying spot..wide open and just an awesome place to fly.

And you are right about the other thing, too! I definitely should have been mowing my lawn instead of FPV flying, lol. My grass needs cut real bad....but I had a battery that was fully charged and it was screaming at me. I'll have time to mow the grass this weekend, lol....and some more FPV quad flying ha ha ha

I know what you mean about the battery screaming to be used, I get those sometimes.
And just as you use them up another leaps off the charger with the same attitude, you just have to use them. :)

Thanks Tony! More to come as the weather permits.

There isn't usually much "active" traffic on my street. I live in the middle of the housing addition but there are always cars parked on the sides of my street. I dunno, the more and more I think about it...I may be tempted to run down the street a bit, lol.

Yeah man....I hear the "beep beep" from the charger, telling me that my pack is charged and then I just get mesmerized...it's time to go fly something, lol. I'm just not good with peer pressure.

I wouldn't fly in the street, it's just not safe. If I ever hit anyone I'd pack the hobby in and never forgive myself for being so stupid and reckless.. I love flying too much to risk that

No worries Tony! My usual flying field is only about 15 minutes away from my house. There is a small park that is just around the corner that I can use for simple testing.

Ohhh that was just me Derek, I'm enjoying flying the quad and wouldn't risk losing the hobby through being careless...

I wouldn't risk injuring anyone either. Not a chance! The chances of me wandering my quad down the street a bit are pretty slim. There are a few times, during the day, when there are not many parked cars at all and no walkers nor bikers....so I may wander down the street during those times but if someone is on the street....you can be sure that my quad won't be anywhere near them. Like I said above, there are some small parks nearby and my usual flying spot isn't far away at all. I can go to any of those places rather quickly. I've always been known to be a safe flyer. I don't care if it's one of my cheapest scratch builds or my Trex 600 Pro DFC....I will plow it into the ground before I allow it to hit anyone.
