I did a very dangerous crash with my 700 today
Im very thankful it dident hit 2 other pilots. It was not pilot error. Im 99% sure it was my beastx gyro that failed. The tail stopped to work. It was the same sympthom as what happend to my old 700 and it was the same gyro. It never have happend on my 450 and 550 so it is not the transmitter. I checked my 700 after the crash and nothing had went loose on it every screw was secured on it. I have now ordered a new gyro a MSH Brain flybarless system.

WOW! That was close!!! I bet you're counting your blessings now, eh? Forget that, those two by the cars, those should be counting... Just shows you can't be too careful. Getting a new gyro is probably a very good decision.

Wow... Glad no one ate it... Y where u flying from center field over the flight stations? Hard to see the entire site from the video.. Wow... Kinda funny tho(well not funny), my 450 has a AR7200BX on it.. All my other birds have iKon... But over the past couple of months iv experienced tail blowouts in situations I wouldn't have expected.. And yesterday is was terrible.. Like u described rudder function ceased momentarily on several occasions thru out the 4 packs I flew on her... Tons of wind so I figured that was the cause of the extreme blowouts I was having... This makes me reconsider that thought... Might be in the market for another iKon... Yeah... My heart woulda stoped! Scary! Soo thankful no one got hit. Build another! Ull like the Brain/iKon too!

Thing is this. The flying station is wrong placed because it is in wrong place toward the sun so the pilot use to stand on the other side of the field. This is something we who flying helicopters have pointed out to the club administration but nothing have happend on that matter. I hope this will lead to the flight station to be moved to the other side of the field. I always try to keep the heli away from the station. In this flight it happend in the turn before the dive you see beftore i point out i have problem. Now after i do realise i should have putted it to ground earlyer when it was away from the station. I focused on heli so i kinda lost track on exaclly where the station was. The plan i got in my head was to try use the aileron to drive the heli more out back on the field and there do an auto because i did know i was way to far off the edge of the field. But i failed to do so. It is always easy to say what to do etc etc but when in middle off it it is different and several factores on how the reaction turns out to be. THis was a lesson i will learn from. I shaked in my whole body after i can say.

I'll bet u were shake'n! It is difficult to execute ur thought process while in the middle of an extreme situation, I agree... Lol.. Bet those guys crap'd their pants! Glad u all weren't injured... Lol.. They charge u for the wind sock?.. Lol.. I would use this example to promote common sense changes to field layout in the name of safety to the officials/owners of the field.

Wow, obvious mechanical failure. The field is too narrow to have anyone standing where they where. Just not a good site.

The flight really seemed to be going well. I'm glad that no one got hurt.

Unlucky and glad no one got hurt:) Your flying skills are good, so it is obvious by the video it is a failure. It looks like it exploded in the air? Possibly blades hitting the tail? Very good point you made about moving due to the sun:)
