Ken's Flight Log Helicopters

Thought I'd start out with a crash, just happened a couple days ago. I forgot my extension cable to connect the ESC to the battery. I pulled the connectors to make the connection but I suspect it came loose because the helicopter just shut off. I was loosing orientation because it wasn't spinning around fast enough. The time it took me to figure that out I could have auto'd it. Minimal damage so far. Just the skid pipes and a slight nick on one of the main blades.

Oh yeah the canopy was destroyed but it was already taped together so I didn't count it as a lose as it was already going to be replaced.

I had this bird flying fast and stout. Not sure how I avoided the power lines but obviously I was having a really good pilot day.

I think that's a great idea, what you've done. Flight logs for planes and helicopters. Very cool!!!

That sucks to see a crash but at least the damage was minimal. The 500 sure did sound pretty good while it was in the air!

I've seen many of your other flights. You've had some really great ones!!!

That was some nice flying there Ken with the 500, shame it lost power. It shows though you just can't take short cuts with a heli. Good lesson learnt me thinks. Remember that extension....lol.

Flew my 130x outside today but didn't have time to stop home first and grab my camera. Temp was around 34F but very little wind and it was sunny. But since I didn't video it earlier I just hovered it in my apartment. Sorry no nose in flying it's not solid enough for anything but tail in. I did pretty well outside with some flips and rolls.

Good flying in the house Ken, they do suffer a bit from down draught like, I know my nano did in the house but was great outside...

Yeah I didn't go all out on the ESC. I'm actually running a Turnigy 80amp ESC. And seems to me I couldn't tone it down. Maybe I should look into that again. Or just keep doing what I've been. That one was a little rough.

I tried programming the soft start again. The instructions don't work they way they are written. I can change any setting accept the start mode.

Anyway here is my most recent flight. I think that barrel roll to the right was maybe the worst one I've ever done. wow!
