I'll open this section with my most spectacular crash. Well at the least the sound it made was spectacular. Had 40-50 flights and other then some hard landings had never crashed this plane.... Until this day.

Here is a really good 3D flight. Had a month or two that I seemed to have forgotten how to land. Since I started out as a helicopter pilot and added planes I noticed landing didn't come automatic but stunting did.

Wow, that was some noise. :)
Good flight on the second one. Fixed up the links so they embedded properly.

Nice flying there Ken, shame about that crash, and that landing on second vid was perfect. I presume the taxiing was a little fast causing it to take off again...nice to watch though. Awesome plane

Fantastic day to fly. Very light wind, sunny and temperature mid 40 degrees. Got this plane dialed in. I had to tweak the elevator some and wow it flies like it did when I took it out of the box last November. The investment to replace the fuselage and wings was worth it.

Been looking at this one as well. Same type 3D plane with the AS3X. The wingspan is only 3 inches longer than the VisionAire but this plane has a 4S battery. Just a lot more power. You would be happy with the VisionAire, it is a lot of fun to fly.

Thanks Ken, just checked them out, both very good planes, I'd love to get into fixed wing. Next year I think

Wow can't believe I've been away this long. Of course I guess it was winter, duh. Very comfortable with my plane, heli is a little shaky yet.

Ken, on my Visionaire I encounter a very strong nose up tendency under power. Any idea what might be causing it? I've tried dialing in down elevator trim, about 40 points worth on the DX9, at about 70-80% throttle, but it still noses up under full power and then has a strong nose down under light power.

Where in the battery compartment do you end up with your battery to get proper CG? Did you add any weights anywhere? Did you have to adjust linkages to get things true?

Sorry I'm just now seeing this. Should have PM'd me or email. Been so busy haven't been getting on the site much this year.

I push my battery (2200) all the way back in the compartment. Just always have and seems to work fine there. Sounds like the elevator gains might be too high in the receiver. You are not supposed to trim that plane in the radio. And yeah I know what a pain in the butt the AR635 is to program. I hate watching flashing lights to figure out where in the programming I'm at. I have not done much adjusting in the receiver. The only thing I did do was turn the gain down on the elevator in both normal and 3D modes.
