OOPS, MEANT TO POST THIS IN FLIGHT LOGS
ADMINS CAN MOVE IT IF THEY LIKE pls

Showed Jacob some water rockets on Youtube and he decided he wanted to be a rocket scientist.
So we got building. Here is the result.
Unfortunately it went way faster and higher than I anticipated so I only got the launch and the landing.

I decided to put the mobius on it but unfortunately the battery was low.
I recorded nearly 16 Gb of the inside of my pocket. :)
Only got a failed launch.
I never engaged the locks properly and it launched at very low pressure.

Tomorrow we will try again with a fully charged mobius and more pressure. :)
These test flights were only at 30psi.
These bottles are supposed to be capable of 100psi. :D :D :D

That's is too cool guys. When i was growing up, i had a hand held rocket like that and you pump it up about 10 times and release the handle on the hand held launcher and there she goes. That's great stambo and Jacobs. I'm glad to see that you spend quality time with your son. You don't see that offend enough now a days family times. Good lord, they have a commercial to tell your kids to go play for at least an hour a day. I'm just getting old and the times are changing so fast with technology now a days.

Wow that's amazing mate I didn't expect it to go so fast and high.

I will move the thread when I can get to a computer mate, on my phone at the moment.

That makes two of us.
That was only 30 psi.
Wait until we bump the pressure up a notch or 2 and attach a fully charged mobius. :)
I may have to see if I can devise a parachute of some sort. :)

That was really good, Stambo! My Dad and I do water rockets and the Estes model rockets. I may have to get them out again and share some video. My Dad has his own custom launcher for his water rocket and the rocket carries up a para-trooper. It's very impressive!

Anyway...I hope you can get some more video of Jacob and his water rockets. They really are a good time!!!

Lol, when he drinks water now he says he is drinking rocket fuel, I have explained in a way hopefully a 6 yo can understand, how this works.

I try to make all the time we spend together quality time.
Some people say I am spoiling him but he has rules and boundaries and must adhere to them.
He earns fuel for his wee quad bike by behaving himself, best behavior equals best fun times.
He is polite and knows his please and thank you.
When we go anywhere he often gets praise for being such a polite little boy.
Makes me proud and lets me know I'm doing an ok job as a parent.

Right on, Stambo! Jacob sounds like a real cool kid!

I spoke with my Dad about getting his water rocket out again. He said that it needs some repairs but he will get it repaired and ready to go. we'll get some video of his water rocket launch and it deploys a parachute. I believe the parachute is 60" in diameter. It's pretty impressive!!!
