take your time my friend. get used to flying in the open in acro mode then move on to obstacles, it can get a bit frustrating after the first 6-7 prop changes.

Ive been having a look over La Porket and there seems too be a bit of lateral play in the motor 2 (front right) ive got a couple of spares to hand so im off to install and soldered one up.

I am going to look into a few upgrades for it in the next week or so. Motors being one of them.

Lol, if you had of hit the throttle hard, you may have saved that one. :)
It seems counter intuitive to throttle up when you are about to hit something but It does work.
Initially my reaction was to throttle down but you soon realise no throttle = no control. :)

There was no damage to the post or the quad, I lost the bottom cover for my camera and it took about 20 mins to find the battery for it.

Re: La porket flight log.

so ive talked about some upgrades to Porket. Well ive gone and pulled the trigger on the parts to make La Porket Super Sport.

ive ordered

4x DYS BE1806 2300KV Brushless Motor Black Edition (these motors have been tested and run @ 4s but its not in the specs)
4x DYS 20A ESC SimonK Miniature
Input voltage: 2-4s Lipo
BEC: OPTO
Size(mm)L*W*H: 23*12*4.5
Type: SimonK (not for long)
Hobbywing 3A UBEC
Afro ESC USB Programming Tool
2x ZIPPY Compact 1000mAh 4S 35C Lipo Pack (same weight as the 1300 3s now used)

These parts let me run 3s and 4s at will. Before installation I will be flashing the esc's with BLheli v13.1 this then enables oneshot125 (+ all the other features of KISS esc's).

Im going to keep running the HQ5045's at first ti see how it goes. This setup should be insane on 4s.

That goes well but sounds awful.
I could not continue to fly with that noise, I would have to find it and fix it. :)

I thought that i would record the auw in present config, by the looks of those esc's porket might be going on a crash diet as well as a power increase.
