Its quite an interesting project, ive been researching it for a while graham.

I like the idea of mild too wild just by changing a pack and a profile, I don't always want to scream about like a complete loon, (it just happens   )

I forgot to weight the bec but its manual say's 11.5g

so there is an overall weight saving of around 16g (just over 1/2 ounce)

Heres a shot of size comparison.

Ive also shortened the vtx cable to neaten it up and save a bit of weight.

The overall weight saving has been a total of 29g.

So the last bits to do are flash the esc's with blheli and set cleanflight up for oneshot. The programming stick and 4s packs are on the van for delivery and should be here in the next few hours, Im hoping to have the esc's and cleanflight setup done for the end of play today.

4s packs turned and programming stick turned up. Flashing the esc's was a breeze I followed this video
How to flash BLHeli on Afro 30A ESC with Afro Pro…: http://youtu.be/dE-t2o75XlA
the process is the same for the dys sn20a you just have to select the correct firmware for your application.

I've had chance for a cheeky hop up in the garden to have a look at the pids. I took off and straight away could feel the difference the quad seems smoother, it's hard to explain.
So I started to up the roll and pitch p's lol so far I'm @ 8.7 on both zero oscillation on either axis and a tiny bit of bounce on stop and it feels super locked in. I had to stop tuning for today as I've lost light but I'm looking forward to finishing a LOS tuning tomorrow and maybe 3s FPV maiden.

Thanks Tony, The weight reduction came a bit of a fixation one i saw the size if the esc's lol.

Ive put 6 packs through porket this afternoon tweaking the pids. heres a short video of where im up to with the gains, Everything about the quad is the same apart from the motors and esc's, the camera is mounted the same as the previous videos but is way smoother, i can only put this down to the blheli and oneshot125.

The test will be when I get to fpv it now. I know it will need some adjustment but so far I'm really impressed with it.

I've got my flight bag ready to go for the morning it will just be a case of seeing what mother nature has in store for me.

I've tried both, there's not a lot to notice in a small area because I can't open the throttle up.
With that said it does hover at around a 1/3 stick on 4s, I'm looking forward to being able to give it some on 4s.

Finally got out to do the maiden. There is about a 8-10mph wind on this flight.

What can i say, smooth, connected, wow. The camera is hard mouted to the frame, theres a bit to do on the gains as the only tuning done so far has been LOS.
