Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages......my Mobius has arrived!!! Fantastic! I do believe my mini quad is complete now!

I also ordered some more color packing tape, the other day, and it arrived today, too.

Maiden will probably be tomorrow. It's just so cold outside right now....I'm sure I wouldn't be able to tolerate more than 5 minutes or so before my hands got too cold. Tomorrow is suppose to be twice the temperature as today. I'm really looking forward to this!!!

I did try a maiden flight this afternoon. However, it raised a concern. When I went to plug the in the battery, the power came on and then turned off. I wiggled the wires and the quad powered up and then turned off again. Hmmm...bad solder joint somewhere. I played with a few of the solder joints and it seems that the positive power lead to the Dean's plug may be weak. I'm going to resolder that as soon as I get off the laptop.

Ok...solder joints have been mended and seem to be better because I can power up my quad and not have it power down and then power up...seemingly to be a loose connection. Seems all better now.

You all may frown on this, and I apologize, but I wanted to share this. I did turn on my tx and power up the quad. I held the quad frame with my fingers, very tightly....armed the board and raises the throttle to about 25%. I'm sure it was no more than 25%. I could feel the quad try to level itself as I moved it around a bit. I moved the right stick in all four directions just a little bit and I could feel that the quad was trying to move in the direction I was pushing the stick. Good enough for me as a simple test. Disarm the board and power everything down......it's working. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow but a maiden hover is also in the forecast for tomorrow. The forecast says a 60% chance of rain, so perhaps I can have a few minutes to hover around and make some adjustments, as needed.

I just need to find that darn velco so that I can mount my Mobius.

I wanted to ask.....in reference to a helicopter...if I find the cyclic controls to be too sensitive, I would add expo to tame down the helicopter's movements. Would the same be true with the quads or is there something in Cleanflight that I'd adjust?

Look for RC rate and bring that down a bit, in receiver tab.
Will give you a much tamer machine, you could also up the expo in the same place.

Ok, so the adjustments are made in Cleanflight and not the tx.

Thanks Stambo! I'm really gonna try to get this quad in the air tomorrow and I just wanted to know about this type adjustment, just in case it's too twitchy or too responsive. I really don't know what I should expect, lol.

If you can control a flybarred heli the quad should be easy for you. :)
Just be prepared for a bit more throttle manipulation than you are used to.

My 3 days away from work has come and nearly gone....not a bit of flying. Friday, I was more or less recovering from a long week at work. Saturday was very cold and windy and I was doing some work at my Dad's house. Today, Sunday, it was very windy and rainy and I just spent the day with my wife and daughter. I love them very much!

Now...it's nearly 11pm....my daughter is down for the night, my wife will soon be on her way to bed. It has stopped raining and the winds have calmed down. I may have to check the refrigerator and see if a grocery run is necessary, lol. If so, I'll take my Dart 250 out and see if I can get it off the ground. I can take my video camera and place it on the bumper of my truck.

the closet thing to velco that I know of is Falco and they did a song called rock me amadeus, i don't think that will work for securing your mobius LOL. Good luck hope things go smooth for ya.

I remember that song. It was pretty cool!!!

I'm using the sticky back velcro to hold the Mobius to the upper deck of the quad and then a velcro strap to go around the upper deck of the frame and the Mobius. I'm sure it will hold just fine.

I have a couple of zip ties through the mobius mount on to the frame, not tight just as a backup.
Those little balls fall out really easy, in fact while you still have the balls there you could put ties through them.
Mine are long gone and I just used sticky foam to put the mount back on.
