I have the Flip 32 Stambo.

Whats happening with mine is:
From hover to just under 3/4 stick, it is smooth.
Around 3/4 stick it has horrible roll wag.
Then at full stick, its smooth again.
Can't figure it out?

I'm having the same sort of issue with tail on mine Lee.
When I connect the board to the computer the yaw axis moves 1 degree every minute or so. I've tried flashing previous versions of cleanflight and even tried baseflight and the issue is still there, I've ordered another board (flip32) if this board is the same I shall be going back to open pilot now that has oneshot support.

Lee try connecting it to the computer and just leave it on the setup screen for a while to see what happens, if it's a knackered accelerometer the graphic will rotate over time.

Have either of you guys put the following in the CLI
set acc_lpf_factor = 100
If not, try it.
It is low pass filter for the accelerometers.
Made a lot of little niggles disapear with my Naze32.
Basically as far as I understand it, it filters out a lot of the vibrations the FC sees from the accelerometers.
The default is 4 but that was for 8 bit boards, the extra processing power of the 32 bit ones allows this to be cranked up a bit.
Don't forget to save it. :)

The little rotate over time of the graphic s a common thing.
Because these boards don't have a compass it is apparently quite normal.
Dan also make sure there is no jitter around the center in the reciever tab on the yaw, it should be at 1500, and that there is no trim in your TX.
If you have to center it use subtrim.
You can try
set yaw_deadband = 10 in the CLI
That will take away any possibility that the TX and RX are causing your issue.
Don't forget to set it back to 0 or a low number when you are finished.
You have proably already tried most of this but just throwing some thoughts out there. :)

I'll give that a go when I get in. The right yaw is on the bench without the motors running, so it's not a vibe issue but it may solve the issue.
Thinking about it has set next to the pc so it could have been vibes from the fans.

the only thing ive not tried is the accelerometer filter going to apply it now and re-calibrate and go and fly it. If not my other board should be here this morning.

That was happening on my other quad, I could watch the compass move on the bench in CF.. Never did get that sorted before I lost it. Now I have OP it's rock steady...

I did set the lpf factor to 100 before.
Just checked it again, and its back to default???
Lets see if that works.
No chance to test it for a few days, as its blowing 70mph winds :(

70mph winds? That's insane! You could fly your quad at your place and then pick it up in my yard, lol.

It's quite normal for the direction to drift in the GUI just sitting there, mine does that too what is it like in the air?
