Do they break often? Should I go ahead and order some? Other than props.. What goes more often than not on these things?

You just need to have spare props, many, many, many props. :D
Once you are flying FPV you will need them.
If not you are not trying hard enough. :D

I still have to bank for the FPV gear.. But.. I did think about something lastnight... Iv got an old rePlay recorder that we used to mount to our boards & helmets to get video footy of us skating.. So I dug around and found it, mounted it, & recorded with it. IT SUCKS! Lol... The pixel & frame rate is terrible.. But I thought I'd shoot anyway.. Here is the first flight of two from my house.

Yeah.. Been a good bit of traffic on my street this morn'n from down the hill.. & walkers.. It's to my back until the quad passes me.. And the lines are low... Been scared I was gonna hit something or someone... So I've tried to hold back a bit... Think I was much faster the first day I maiden'd.

Well, went to the field.. Took the 550 & the quad... May post the videos (took 2)... They are crap! Over steering way too much.. I think FPV will help with that.. But.. How do u guys fly.. Most of the flight all I saw was ground! U guys mount the camera with an up angle? Do those tilted motor mounts help?

Any video is better than nothing, but that wasn't too bad.
My mobius is on about a 15 degree angle up but sometimes it is still not enough.
I always try to put the FPV cam and mobius at the same angle.

I have about 15 degrees on the fpv cam and about 20 degrees on the mobius, and like Stambo said sometimes that's not enough when I'm on it.

Here the RCXs first day in the open..took her & the 550 to the field. The RCX flew ok... I started with D/R at 70%.. Seemed ok.. Some times at high speed I felt like it over shot turning stick inputs tho.. And at the begining of the video where I ended up behind myself & truck... It was kinda like a blow out in a heli... Briefly it wasn't behaving to the stick input... Wind? I don't know.. But it seemed ok overall.. I need to work on maintaining a fixed altitude during turns & throttle inputs.. Then I flicked to D/R at 55% toward the end to compair flips/rolls to the lower 70%.. It was quicker on the input obviously.. Made me have to watch when I eased off to keep from over rotating because it was faster. I wanna get a comfy rate identified so I can plug that into the CC3D and not transmitter as I have it now. Once I put FPV gear on her I'll have to find a good angle.. No way I could fly looking at the ground while kook'n.. I hope to be racing.. Mean'n I'm gonna want to kook the majority of the flight. OSD may help with that... Artificial horizon & altimeter on a HUD was a strong tool for me on combat flight sims like Falcon 4.0(best PC flight sim EVER!).. Anyhow.. I'm learning & having fun.
