Here is the results of my vibe test after moving the gyro off the side frame. Looks good to me I think. Now I need to see if it will lift off the ground.
I checked all the compensations and everything looked good. When the frame was tilted right the swash went left, tipped forward the swash tilted back. The tail when the nose moved right the leading edge was pushed right. So far so good.

Brief update.
Since the last post I have not done much. I repositioned the kbar, reset the aileron servos and reprogrammed the radio for the new setup. Reset all the blade pitches and check all the corrections. I still have to check the piro comp which should be easy since my orientation of the gyro is in default label up position.

These last few days have played hell on me. The Tuesday before last (almost two weeks ago) i lost my assignment at Lubrizol. So at the moment I am jobless but not for long.

Mentally I hit a black hole of depression and anxiety. I almost admitted myself to a hospital but elected to visit the vet affairs instead. After a few questions they felt I was good to go till my next Dr appointment.

Went to said appointment and now I am awaiting acupuncture and tai chi classes. For now I have videos for tai chi and still figuring out how to get almost a grand saved up for the acupuncture. I sure hope the VA helps out. I think it will help.

I had 3 good days where I was actually happy for once (well in a long time). Wife and I are on the up and up. Things are turning around but it needs to be slow and steady. I hope to start the Thai Chi this week. I will start the video training I have and hope to move on to having a Sifu to help teach the more detailed stuff and correct postures.

I hope to get out soon and get some stick time. I have been dreading the next flight for fear I have not solved the tip over. One way to find out is to get it up in the air. Maybe this week after my appointments, I have many this week.

When I said on RCH that I was struggling I really meant it. Most of it got masked by the joy of coming home. After settling in it surfaced again while at work and has finally started to fade away.

Good news is I have managed to work on some stuff in the sim. I am working on tail circles in both directions, figure 8s in one direction and started working on autos. Mostly the timing of adding positive pitch to slow down the heli just before touch down and maneuvering the heli at this point. I will try and screen cast it at some point, it will be boring but will give you an idea of how i am progressing in the sim. Once the kbar if solid i will make strides to get it translated to the real deal.

YES YES YES. It flies without tip over. Looks like by centering the gyro in the frames fixed that issue. Must have been receiving to many vibes from the frame side.

Now for the tune part. It has a slight wobble looks to be aileron. I don't think there is any in the elevator at the moment. My grass needs cut if I am going to test fly in the front yard though.

Not to make all the little tweaks needed to smooth out the heli. I think its time to call some flying friends and have them come over, or Ill go there and get this thing tuned out.

Think I have a problem with the K bar thats on my Forza 450
Took it out to fly it yesterday and it is seems all the settings have changed . its acts like all the pitch setting have changed and just acting funny
its was so bad I set it down in the first 2 minuets of a flight and said this just dont feel right
I need to get it hooked up on the PC and see whats going on . Im thinking from not powering it up in a long time that it reset it self

I think mine did the same thing. I thought I had all the settings for 450 set. Most of it was set for a 500/600. I rest everything back to 450 and I will see what happens. Need to charge packs before I go back out. I think I will do that tomorrow at some point and see what happens.

Got out and did some tuning on the kbar. I have a head wobble/bobble. I adjusted the gain up and down, paddle sim up dawn and cyclic optimize up and down. Still nothing. I am wondering if its a tail issue?????????

Today was another day of tuning only thing different was I added the canopy. I rest to the defaults and set the gains for a 450 sized heli. Seemed to be really stable, I need a second set of better eyes to check for me. Oh and that wobble I had yesterday was just about gone today. The other thing that was different was the batteries, I used the Pulse Ultra packs today and the gens Ace yesterday.

So I got frisky and wanted to see if I could get bank switching working and indeed I did. I have my G switch (3 pos switch) set for the banks. Under the gyro settings I set the values to -100 0 100 which gives me the three banks, then on the same screen I had to set Gain to Inhibit. Scolled to the next screen and did something on there. In the Vstabi I had to set the banks to 0/1/2/3. This allows you to switch through the banks. Before I did anything I made sure that bank 0 was all setup with the basic stuff and under the advanced setting for the banks you can copy the 0 bank to all 4 banks.

Right now I am running my tail gains through it along with the head gains. I think my tail gains are almost set for my level of flying. I have to figure out my head gains, paddle sim and find out how twitchy I want it to be. Getting closer.

During my flights I was doing my sim exercises in real life. I was able to do get a clockwise nose forward box. I was trying to get a circle but I was running out of battery and could not get it started prior to LVC kicking in. I have a high voltage for LVC, mine is set at 3.8 volts and I am thinking of dropping it to 3.7.
