If my scratch build doesn't work out, I may just buy the kit. I think I remember it being $100. I can swing that

Some adjustments have been made. Stronger landing gear added. Dual Rates turned down a bit. Expo turned up ALOT, lol.

Today's remaiden was probably 90% success. The remaining 10% was due to a botched landing. Video is being uploaded to Youtube now. I'll post it here as soon as it's done uploading.

Ok...here's the flight video. It really was a cool flight. I'm pretty happy with it. Those massive control surfaces are no joke, lol. The aileron dual rates were 60% with 40% expo. Elevator is the same. I don't remember what the rudder settings were.

Thanks Dan! It's pretty good for a scratch build. Despite the left pull from the ill thrust angle, the plane was very stable in the air. The take off was smooth. The plane even recovered very well from that stall turn, too. I was real happy with that. The rough landing, I've determined, was due to 100% pilot error. I was coming down and I hit the first position flaps switch for the landing. I believe the flaps just killed the forward momentum and the plane stalled and dropped.

I'll get the plane repaired and the thrust angle adjusted and we'll see this plane back in the air. Then, when it comes time for a landing, I'll keep some more momentum until it's on the ground.

It looks as if it's more than capable of some 3d tricks once the thrust angle 8 sorted out and with full throws.
Just out of interest how many degrees throw have you got on your control surfaces at full deflection?

Lol...at full deflection, its probably 50-60 degrees....maybe more lol. Id have to power it up and measure it to be sure but the full throws are quite a lot and each control surface is 3". Massive deflection.

I'll get the thrust angle sorted and then we'll possibly play around with some maneuvers.

Instant stall....yeah. I think that's what I did wrong when I was landing the plane, the other day. I hit the first position flaps and I wasn't carrying enough speed.....down it went. Like I mentioned above....100% pilot error. What I should have done was just land the plane without even messing with the flaps until I've tested the flaps "in flight" to see how much the plane slows down.

Being a 3D beast??? Yes, I imagine so! I've got to work all this weekend but I'll be working on this plane next week.
