Kits should be released very soon! Already got the ESC & motor for it!.. Gonna pull the KDE 505kv & CC 160 off my E7SE for the 766 & replace with a KDE 535kv & CC 120 for the E7SE. This will lite'n up my E7SE a bit.. It's not a "pig".. But on the heavy side.. So it'll better my E7SE & make for a strong 12S setup on the 766... Can't wait! I'm also thinking of the NEO instead of another iKon.. We'll see... Can't wait!

Lol... Gonna be winter before I get all this stuff together.. If then.. But u know I will do a build thread! This kit even has color options! Orange, red, green, or blue.... How kool is that!

Getting close to the initial release.. Gonna be a little while before I can get the kit.. But already have the motor, ESC, 1 of 4 servos, 4 packs, and a few odds'n'ends... Can't wait.. Guys, look at the bearing blocks, head, & swash.... Just wow... Thrusted bearings for the main shaft.. What!?!?! Just awesome. A great looking machine with a lot of style.. Unparalleled versatility(see the last page). Similar versatility as in the E5's ability be a 550, 600, 630, or 700 with various electrical acceptance.. This machine can be a 716, 766, or 806... 12S or 14S... Adjustable tail ratios.. Serval pinion options to match ones preferred setup. Nice video:)
Great manual, its just like a CNC manual. Love the thrust bearing housing and the main shaft housings. Only critisism i have is i would like to have seen an aluminium anti-rotation bracket.

I have saved a copy of the manual.I dont know why? :)

Lol... Cause u want one! Lol.. Yeah.. I said the same thing about the wanting an aluminum bracket on the E7SE(CF) & N5C(plastic).. But ended up liking the CF on the E7SE... The plastic one on the N5C.. Not so much.. Had a buddy try to machine one of aluminum but it didn't turn out so well.. But the N5C fly so nice.... I don't know.. This bird will be epic!

Just looked through the manual. Interesting. I'm not convinced the thrust bearings on the main shaft are going to be all that useful. Then again, if they manage to keep those two bearings from getting beat up by the axial forces transmitted by the lower gear hub... Time will tell. I know I've had to replace a number of main bearings on both the blade 550X and the Goblin 500. I had always assumed it was damage caused by the radial forces against those bearings, but maybe it was the axial forces trying to rip the inner bearing race loose of the bearing that was causing it?

Radial load will play to a certain extent Paul especially with the normal ball bearing set up top and bottom. Most notably through time and the bearing housings seeing wear over time.

But if you an imagine the axial load with the force of inverted flight and normal flight on the main shaft. As we all know we check for lift on our heads when we get vibrations, the first direction we do is pull on the head upwards and across the feathering shaft.

Both axial and radial loads are at work on the bearings, blade balance and tracking having massive effects on both. Could be a gimmick, but to me it is acting like what i know as an EX bearing and GR bearing on shafts.

Personally i think it will make it super stable and strong:)

I guess my problem is more that I crash them before any bearings have a chance to wear out due to use. :)
