For some reason I just dont feel it with the TREX line. I think its overly played out, its a nice machine dont get me wrong I just dont know what all the hype is about with their products. I have owned three kits so far and the first does not count. Of the other two hands down the Gaui X3 takes it. Yes the Protos Mini is a great kit, if you don't crash that much. Now I cant put either machine or an ALign for that matter through its paces but when an air frame take full on impact into concrete and the frames dont break. At that point all you can do is shake your head and say "Well time to fix it!"

Most of the hype on their stuff lately has been with the quads and micros (and that 150 seems to have been something of a flop). At least that's my take on it. I'm not sure they're doing much in the broader heli category except releasing "dominator" versions of things, which is kind of "big whoop" at this point. They are a big company with a lot of presence in the hobby media so they make a big splash on even little improvements in their "new" releases.

I just want to know who in their ad copy dept came up with "frame stiffers". Classic.

I Have the 4 and by far the quality and all round performance of the 550e i have is streets ahead of the rest. My 150 was an epic but flys well all the time now:)

The 450 is my " cherry copter" . Massive learning curve on this, but held back by the 3gx:( fit an AR7200BX or Ikon or MSH Brain and man the most stable starter in the world.
Align are far from perfect. I think like Nokia their initial dominance of the market made them complacent and they suffered from that. Stand still too long in any business and suffer the wrath of evolution:)

I toyed with the idea of getting a 380, the only reason being is its a new, cool looking,Bert Kammerer endorsed, speed looking goblin. BK can do no wrong in my eyes, lol.
I also thought it would help with the nerves when flying the big goblin, trick me into thinking I was flying the wee goblin and relax a bit.
I wont get one for the forseeable future because anywhere I can fly it may as well be the 500 at minimum.
I do really like the looks of it and don't really think there asking too much for it considering all things.
