I was wondering if anyone knows if I can extend the wires coming from the actual sensor coming from the engine to the main module without any problems?

You can splice them like any other cable but the cable needs to be the same as it is to do with conductivity:)

If it's a resistor type of sensor it shouldn't be a problem. If it's a thermocouple then you might get slightly skewed results from it. If possible use the same kind of wire as it came with for the extension.
