Well I have been very tempted for a while now to get this new heli, well it will be out by the end of the month,

But, after seeing some of the ways they have built in upgradables I'm not going to go for it, the performance and everything has been sold on the machines like been seen from the reps and test pilots, all ally and carbon,

The production heli is coming out with plastic dfc arms, plastic tail control arm, and plastic tail servo mounts and tail rod guide, the last two not deal breakers but the dfc arms and tail control arm, come on WHY?

So the $278 bare bones kit to get what you thought was coming or what the testers have been showing you for months you are closer to $350,

But the Soxos does look nice,

Am waiting to see what Bladescraper that used to be on RCH thinks of the Assualt 700 and how interchangeable it is with the align 700,

I'd wait for some feedback on the plastic parts and how well they hold up. Plastic isn't automatically bad, but like you said all the talk has been about the metaled up versions in prototype.

It's a bit disappointing Paul, I was ready to pull the trigger be four I seen this and the price, bit to much for what it is imo it's about 15% more than I was expecting,

And the delays in the release have been issues in the plastic parts, raises questions in my mind

Either they have got something wrong or more likely they are like Align and trying to make more money with the upgrades:)

$350!!! You can get a Warp 360 with Motor and Blades for $309 And I'll bet you its a way better heli.

The tail stuff doesn't bother me much. Looks like it is just the slider (not the swing arm), servo mount and guides. The DFC links are a little concerning, but then again, the plastic on this piece may be good. They'd presumably offering more give to accommodate rotor flapping stresses. The grips, hub, etc. are still AL. On both tail and main rotor.

This is still a big step up, out of the box, from a 300CFX. Kit with motor and ESC is $368 pre-order at HeliDirect. Problem is you need to throw on a bunch more electronics. FBL, servos, rx or sat. Not sure if the OEM Hobbywing 40A ESC will include a BEC or not. I suspect it will, maybe 3A output at 5 or 6v. Even going cheap you're still up to $500 to get the thing in the air probably.

Could easily spend that upgrading a 300CFX to the metal and CF parts you get with this kit. And it isn't going to have the performance/power.

I'm thinking it is still a good buy, even with the few plastic parts they're putting in for production.

I can't see spending almost $500 for that kit when a warp 360 costs about the same. Plastic or not that is way out of my price range for a kit that size. My Gaui cist about that to build.

I waited and waited for this heli to come out right before Christmas and it didnt make that so I bought the Forza 450 under 300.00 for afull kit with servos motor and esc and blades . so then well my B day is coming up soon yep it still will not be out by then and then I saw the price holly Hell Ya Im out on buying one for sure Its nuthing but a blinged out x2 with a big price tag

Personally if I went that snall I would get the X2 over the oxy, just saying. Not really a cost thing, just more heli for the price, plus Gaui is reputable to me.
