Homemade lights, look professional to me. Can you post some pics showing the blades not spinning, love to see that.

No probs guys, it uses a microprocessor though so some knowledge on programming would be needed and soldering skills.. But I'll take some pics tomorrow and post in a new thread...they would look awesome on a larger bird with longer baldes, more LEDs then..

I can assure you Ken they are build by me, so they should look professional...lol. The project isn't really finished yet, I may design a proper pcb for it with a smaller micro chip. Also I want to sync the blade position to get some better patterns..

Was goingto ask you if you were RPM syncing or not in that. The Tareq night fly vid was impressive for how well synced the display way to the headspeed. Only saw the image rotate a little bit. Can imagine it would be hugely disorienting to have a RPM synced image but not have it position aligned properly so it was always rotating around the disc as RPM changed. :)

This is just an initial prototype Paul, syncing is easy. Yeah I recon the way it is would be a crash waiting to happen without other nav lights on to orient too. I have those, I'll do a vid with all the lights on tomorrow night and get it in the air this time (weather permitting)

I'm still coding patterns into it, different ones on top from bottom view.. When my IR sensors arrive I'll sync the code to part of the heli frame and see what happens.

Thanks for your input
