Re: Thinking about a Taranis Plus
There is a mode 1 and a mode 2. Mode 2 would be the throttle/collective on the left.

Re: Thinking about a Taranis Plus
Wow, the Horus is looking like a Jeti.
I wonder how much it is?
Having a $1500 Jeti radio for the price of a Taranis would be awesome.

Re: Thinking about a Taranis Plus
Without getting too technical, it means all the channels from your receiver go through one servo wire to the flight controller.
Less wires, less weight, less mess.
It also means you can put 8 channels through a 4 channel rx.
If you want a little more technical, here is some light reading.

Re: Thinking about a Taranis Plus
Oh my...I read that and I didn't understand much. Even in my youth, I was never very good ad absorbing what I've read but if I were to see it or get "hands on experience" with something, i can understand it much better. The same is true today. I'll have to see what i can do about getting some extra $$$ around so that I can order one of these Taranis tx's. I may not understand much about it right now but if I can get one in my hands, and mess around with it, I'm sure I'll be in good shape.Stambo wrote:Without getting too technical, it means all the channels from your receiver go through one servo wire to the flight controller.

Re: Thinking about a Taranis Plus
That's what I'm going to use when I get mine, my RX sends out PPM on one channel, that will free off ports on the FC for leds etc... This is one reason I want the Naze

Re: Thinking about a Taranis Plus
I recently got the Taranis+ and I like it. b4 I had a turnigy 9x with er9x it was good. The taranis is much more like a high end radio. If you have never used the open tx firmware it has steep learning curve. Once you get a handle on its functions its great. I don't do fpv but I'm sure it would work super for that.

Thanks for your two cents, smoke! I've spent quite a bit of money on 3 other projects over the past few weeks. If I get a Taranis, it won't be anytime soon, lol, but I am still quite interested in getting one.
