Just an update....it's now 12:47am, Thursday night/Friday morning. When I checked the tracking number, the other day, it showed an expected delivery date of Friday, March 6, but the package hadn't left the Arkansas Post office yet. I just checked the tracking number and not only has my package left the Arkansas Post Office, it has arrived at the Post Office in my states capital and it has also left that post office and it's on its way to my local post office. I can actually drive from my house to my states capital in about 90 minutes, so my package is very close to getting to me. I fully anticipate delivery of the powerhouse inrunner motor and esc today (Friday). I also visited my local hobby shop today for a pair of powerful servos because, lets face it, this plane is going to be a "screamer" so I wanted good and strong servos. My local hobby shop had a pair of brand new Futaba S3010 standard size servos. These servos have a torque rating of @6.0V: 90.3 oz-in (6.5 kg/cm) and a speed rating of @6.0V: 0.16 sec/60°. When I looked at the Weston UK "Velocity 50" manual, they have a couple of pictures of them using these exact servos. They were a bit pricey at $22.99 each (bought 2) but I didn't want to go cheap on servos that would be on a plane that is anticipated 120mph+.

So...I have my servos. The motor and esc will be here within 15 hours or so. I need to hunt down a Spektrum AR6210 with satellite. Need a bit of other hardware and I need to get the foam board and balsa for the airframe. Need to order some more colored packing tape. And then I should have a very impressive machine. Oh...I need to order some props, too.

THE DOCTOR HAS CHECKED IN!!!

I just checked the mail and my new 6S "Dr. Madthrust" motor and YEP 150amp esc (and a few other bits) have arrived. Very excited! It's a shame that I have to work the next 3 nights but that's life. The weather forecast, for next week, is looking to be warmer and flyable so I'll probably have to charge up a few packs and go loosen up the thumbs but the build on this project will start soon. I ordered an AR6210 with satellite yesterday. Once that gets here, I'll have everything I need for this project. :D  8-)
