New blades coming

Post by KevG »

Well I have been talking to a blade manufacturer for a couple of weeks trying to get a few more UK suppliers, as this blade manufacturer only has one supplier in the UK, and at the moment they don't stock lots of thier blades,

Well for Trying to introduce this company to a few suppliers I deal with and because I have shown an interest in these new blades they are starting to test I am being sent a set of pre production release blades for my 250 to try, I can't wait, there is not much choice of blades for this little bird and I would love a quality blade to put on it,

As you can see I have not named this company, because I don't want to be seen as advertising them even though I have no formal connection with them,

I will give a report back on them once I get them and try them if that's ok with everyone,

hey bro that sounds great news... i presume they do all sizes, are they CF, or fibre glass, wood... what options on materials, costs etc....

i posted a link to a site that sold hovercrafts, not sure if that was wrong then based on what youve said Kev, maybe Paul can advise here, it wasnt intended as a sales pitch but somewhere i found on google to get kits...

Yeah carbon fibre blades,

Sizes range from 138mm to 700mm and they are adding to the range often,

Graham and Derek have these make already but I have wanted to try for a while, the supplier in the UK does not have the sizes I wanted, plus like I said I have been trying to get a release date and stockist in the UK and my persistence paid off, they are being shipped tomorrow,

Like I said Tony, there is one stockist but that is all they sell, don't really like that situation,

Cool news. Squeaky wheel. Grease. Etc.

No issues posting a link or naming the company. Up to you.
However, if you get signed as a rep or team pilot at some point in the future we will retroactively delete all your posts mentioning them and shame you with a forced avatar of a sad puppy with a cone around it's head/neck. ;)

You might be surprised. Team pilot may be out of reach but field rep is a possibility. If you belong to a club or two, make an effort to get out to regional fun fly events, etc. many companies will consider making you a rep, giving you a little bit of discount, ability to shower some discounts or product on others at events, etc.

Yes I suppose that could be possible, could be nice but the scene this side of the pond is a fair bit less publicised that over your side of the pond, a few events yes but over powered by companies like fast lads etc,

But was not holding my breath until I had confirmation that the blades would be sent but had order info through this morning so super happy now,

This company want to listen and learn from the consumers and is proactive as far as I can tell, how well they will do will depend on time, they now have a great alliance with Lynx Heli and oxy Heli so the sky is the limit i suppose,

I will be doing a comparison review against these and the stock align carbons

The new blades are ????

Aligns are 205mm long hole to tip and have a taper towards the tip and are 14 g per set
???? Are 210mm and are straight and are 20g per set

Will be putting all this in the thread of review but this is just a teaser
