Things are progressing rapidly in the UK:)

Here is a quote from FPV Scotland:

"
Hi folks, man is the fpv racing scene moving fast. As you seen in my last post i was talking to Andreas at aerialgp europe. It would have meant opening up our class to up to 330mm with no restrictions in anyway. It also meant we would get air gates and flags free of charge plus an upcoming timing system. Looking closer at it there way of racing is a more timed type racing where you race in pairs but really its against the clock until the final and this means some people may only get one flight in the day. So i was contemplating is this really what we want/need. In the mean time i was contacted by a british group of racers who are in the middle of setting up an aerialgp type group for british fpv racing groups/clubs. After a few emails and several phonecalls i believe these are the guys for us. They have the same vision as us for safe, cheap, fun racing. Their proposed class for quads is almost identical with ours as in 3 cell, 5 inch props. They already have a few sponsors and are being backed by the BMFA. They have secured 2 permanent fpv racing sites down south and are helping me with the ins and outs of securing a site for us. The good thing about this as well as its still being developed and we get a say on how the rules and racing classes are decided. I have beem actively discussing rules and guidlines and have gave them a copy of our rules, guidlines and scoring system and they seem to like them a lot and some of these are being incorporated into the existing drafts they have. They have a few air gates being made just now and some of these will come to us. like aerialgpeurope there will be races between clubs and groups but unlike aerialgpeurope they will all be within the uk which will make travelling a lot cheaper for us. What i have just told you all isnt common knowledge at the moment and the website is not due to be launched until the end of April but it is going to be covered by some magazines such as rotorworld and the likes. This is a great opportunity for us to be one of the first groups to be signed up and not only that we are also helping to shape how it works. So. Ladies and gentlemen. Can I announce that FPV Scotland are now members of the British FPV racing league. Until everything is ironed out we will continue with our own way of racing and if anyone has suggestions for the british fpv league please email them to me and i will pass them on to the group. Again let me apoligise to everyone for my chopping and changing but it really is moving fast and I have been trying to get us something that suits us best and this one is the one."
