Does oneshot make it more stable or faster? Is that a new cleanflight? Whats TPA breakpoint?

cleanflight increases the response rate of you esc's in turn allowing the PID's too be run higher this gives better stability and also a wider band for the pid sweetspot.

Ive been compiling cleanflight from scratch for a while so the gui im running is the developers version. the updated gui should look pretty much the same. as for tpa break point i haven't got a clue ive not used it as yet. I will do some digging and find out what it is.

heres the last flight of the day

I believe it works like this.
TPA break point is the throttle position that the TPA starts to have an effect. 1500 = half throttle.
TPA is Throttle Proportional Attenuation.
This is the amount P will be backed off when you apply throttle above the breakpoint.
The higher above the breakpoint, the more TPA is applied until you get the full amount at 100% throttle.

Ive not played with the tpa on mine because as far as im aware TPA doesnt work with PID controller 1 all oscillations have to be removed with the gains.

I had been out all day looking for new sites, This was just a cheeky last flight on some waste ground I had only stopped for a drink and a smoke no one was about so i threw a quick flight in, its not somewhere i would use on a regular basis

sick bag airlines,
Like ryanair but with style :D :D

ive re broken my immersionrc 600mw vtx again (not a happy bunny). And ordered a skyzone TF952 32ch vtx (works on fat shark bands).

the system im running at the moment takes the power feed for the camera direct from the vtx (@ 5v), the new vtx doesnt have a power out. so my question is do i run power from the naze32 (@ 5v) to the flight cam or do i make a direct power feed from the BEC (@ 5v).
the next question is about the camera ground, should the camera be grounded to its power source or to the device the video signal is sent?

The camera is good for up to 24v (6s) so finding a power source isn't an issue (soldering iron and heat shrink at the ready)

I will eventually get another Immersion 600 or the new 700mw and a short pigtail so I can hard mount the antenna on the frame.
I have tried others and they just don't seem to perform as well on the Fatshark/Immersion frequencies.

Be careful when you hook up that skyzone unit.
They are wired different to the Fatshark/Immersion stuff.

I'm sure my setup is the same as yours Dan, I used one of the ESC's 5volt outputs to power the 600 cam. The grounds are connected together anyway unless your using a separate lipo for the vtx...

Nice one Dan, definately need more practice though....haha.... Now I see the size of those markers... Pretty good idea... Hope your going to build some kind of circuit with those rather than a straight line.... Will they stack on top of each other so you can see them better from a distance... Maybe 2-3 high..

The lines are to train for entry into gaps and trying to keep it straight and true once a gap has been entered, it sounds a lot easier than it is. Eventually once i can make entry from any angle/height and keep the quad within the cones then I will start to look at marking out tracks.
I think my next train aids will be some pool noodles so that I can add air gates.
So the layout would be an air gate then some a cone markers for precision on exit.

the cones won't work stacked up, it won't make them any more visible with there profile being so low.

I managed to squeezed a couple of packs in this morning trying new pid values and a modified throttle curve.

Its feeling good. there seems too be a tiny twitch it the yaw will drop the yaw p a couple of points and that should sort that out. Ive flattened the throttle curve off a bit in the center too give me finer control where needed.
